Ninth time’s the charm for Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Celebrity informants are reporting that the screen legend, now 78, recently accepted a proposal from 49-year-old businessman Jason Winters, who happens to be Janet Jackson’s new manager.

A tipster tells Us Weekly: “It’s no secret that they’ve been together forever and are in love, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were engaged. Right now they are keeping it between them. She didn’t think she’d fall in love again, but since Jason came into her life that has all changed.”

Some of Liz’s previous marriages include Conrad Hiton (the grand-uncle of Paris and Nicky Hilton) Eddie Fisher (Carrie Fisher’s father; he famously left Debbie Reynolds for Liz), and Richard Burton (two separate times).

Survivor and Pimp My Ride producer Bruce Beresford-Redman is a suspect in his wife’s death days after reporting her missing in the resort city of Cancun, Mexican officials said this week. The body of Brazilian-born restauranteur Monica Beresford-Redman was found Thursday in a sewer at the swanky Moon Palace resort where the family was on vacation.

Bruce, who allegedly confessed to having an affair, was overheard by hotel staff in the middle of a furious shouting match with his wife the day before she disappeared. Beresford-Redman has been released from custody in Mexico, but is not permitted to leave the country.

Show producers say Snooki, The Situation, Pauly D, J-Woww, Sammi, Ronnie, Vinny and even Season One castoff Angelina will be back beatin’ the heat in the Jersey resort town of Seaside Heights.

Jersey Shore’s second season will premiere on Thursday, July 29.

Ever since Taye Diggs pointed at “Black women” as the culprit behind the demise of his craptacular ABC series Daybreak, I haven’t particularly been a fan of the guy who once helped Stella get her groove back.

These days, Diggs is paying the “Rent” by using his famous face and well-defined abs to promote Amtrak’s National Train Day festivities. National Train Day spokesman might not be such a bad gig when you’re a 60-year-old F-Lister, but isn’t Taye a regular on Private Practice? Christ, he can’t need a paycheck that badly.

Taye says he just likes trains.

“Riding the train was my first real exposure to serious travel and the magical notions attached to train travel will stay with me forever. My wife [Broadway Actress Idina Menzel] and I have lived all of our adult lives in New York City so we have come to know riding the train as a relaxing and convenient travel option.”

According to a press release on the annual event: “Diggs will start the weekend’s festivities with a ceremony at New York’s Penn Station on Friday, May 7, where he will flip the switch that launches an edible “trainscape” made from elaborate confections and moving model trains. Afterward, Diggs will board Amtrak and travel to Washington, D.C. to host one of National Train Day’s signature celebrations at Union Station and enjoy the festivities with other train fans on Saturday, May 8…..”

Scrubs star Donald Faison is being sued by a California bank after falling behind on his mortgage for an apartment complex he purchased in Inglewood two years ago for $525,000.

Lawyers for Luther Burbank Savings argue that Faison hasn’t paid the note on the property since November and now owes $514,657.76 in arrears. The bank is seeking a foreclosure judgment in the case.

Faison is reportedly in his final season of Scrubs and was recently cast in The Law, a new CBS pilot comedy premiering this fall.

On Wednesday, President and First Lady Obama filmed a taped message that will appear as part of American Idol’s annual global fundraising event later this month, FOX News reports.

Idol Gives Back is a two-hour charity event that raises money for international non-profit organizations. This year’s beneficiaries include Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children, and the United Nations Foundation.

Idol Gives Back 2010 will air Wednesday, April 21 @ 8 PM ET.

On Thursday, Doron Ofir Casting and 495 Productions announced that they’re casting an “all-Persian” version of the politically-incorrect and culturally-divisive trainwreck about young Italian-Americans pissing their parents money away at the beach.

According to Gawker.com, which was first to obtain the new casting call, network producers are looking for applicants who are 21 or older and “appear younger than 30 and are outrageous, outspoken and a proud Persian-American.”

The second season of Jersey Shore went into production in Miami over the weekend. The show is the most successful unscripted series in MTV history.

This is the fourth Jersey Shore spinoff series announced this year — just in case you’re keeping tabs.

On Monday, Ofir Casting revealed that they are currently casting for numerous future installments of the controversial show. In addition, a Russian-American adaptation of Jersey Shore, not affiliated with MTV and set in Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach community, is also in the works. Finally, singer-actor Tyrese Gibson is producing an Asian-American reality show set in LA’s Koreatown. A post on Craigslist said Black Ty’d “looking for beautiful Asian-Americans with lively, strong, and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share.”

The wife of a former producer on the long-running CBS series Survivor has been found dead in Mexico and local officials have detained the victim’s Emmy-nominated husband — Bruce Beresford-Redman — as the prime suspect.

Monica Beresford-Redman, 41, went missing Monday while on vacation in Cancun with her husband and the couple’s two children. Bruce didn’t tell police until Wednesday that his wife went shopping and never came back. It is a story that doesn’t ring true for investigators. Monica’s body was found early Thursday. She had been strangled and stuffed in a gutter at the swanky Moon Palace resort where they were on a family vacation.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Monica is the owner of Zabumba Bar & Restaurant in upscale Venice, California. In addition to Survivor, Bruce has also completed production work for Pimp My Ride and The Restaurant.
