Sheesh — Kate Gosselin’s really taking a beating in the court of public opinion this week! First the reality Octomom’s paso doble was deemed a dud on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars, then her sleazy ex slapped her with a custody suit, and to top it all off now Kate’s being told that her lady lumps aren’t lusty enough for the pages of Playboy!

Ouch.

We almost feel like sending her a giant gift basket stuffed with chocolates and Sweet Tarts and lots of other fattening snacks that God created to take your mind off the fact that sometimes life really sucks. Unfortunately, tis our job to chronicle the misery of celebrities and duty calls.

Kate’s no “Bunny,” says Playboy founder and eternal Ladies Man Hugh Hefner. Hef says he’ll be resting six feet deep before the frumpy spitfire makes it onto the pages of his iconic men’s mag in her birthday suit.

A resounding “No! No!” was the response when E! Online asked Hugh if the mother of eight had been/would ever be considered for a Playboy spread. Hefner even questioned why Katie’s on Dancing with the Stars, saying simply, “I don’t think she’s a celebrity.”

Mark your calendars, Country Fans: E! News says “Before He Cheats” singer Carrie Underwood will marry Canadian hockey star Mike Fisher in Nashville this summer. The couple, who have been dating for more than a year, announced their engagement in December.

Christopher Cazenove, the British actor best known for his role as Ben Carrington in the 1980’s soap Dynasty, died Wednesday after a month-long battle with the blood infection septicaemia. He was 64. Cazenove’s death comes just days after Dynasty patriarch John Forsythe succumb to cancer at age 92.

After performing her new single “Rockstar 101″ on American Idol last night, superstar singer Rihanna stopped by “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” early Thursday, where she spilled the deets on her much talked about romance with Los Angeles Dodger outfielder Matt Kemp and chatted about planning BFF Katy Perry’s upcoming bachelorette party.

We’re not even halfway through the all-new 10th season, but Hollywood’s self-appointed “Fat Actress” is already geared up to waltz her way onto the next installment of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.

Hollywood biggum Kirstie Alley is currently chronicling the sad story of how she gained weight, lost weight, and gained it all back on the A&E docu-series Kirstie Alley’s Big Life (airing Sundays @ 10 PM) — and Alley’s hoping the show will grow to be successful enough to attract the attention of DWTS producers, The National Enquirer spills in its April 19 edition.

It’s a sad day when your primary career objective becomes getting cast on a show that should be called Dancing With The Z-Listers….

An Alley insider says: “Kirstie wants to lose weight for her health and well-being, but her big plan is to shed the pounds and then be named the headlining performer on Dancing with the Stars next year…She’s been a huge fan of the show, and she been bragging for ages that as soon as she drops most of her excess weight, she’s going to launch a full-court press to be named a contestant.”

As PopCrunch’s own William shared with us on Wednesday, a new allegation has surfaced about the strange bed buddies of golfing legend Tiger Woods. (To the surprise of absolutely no one.) On the dawn of the golfer’s Masters comeback, The National Enquirer — the same tab that published the first reports revealing Woods as a serial cheater — has unearthed a new scoop that claims the married father of two had a one-night stand with the coed daughter of one of his neighbors in the posh Orlando suburb of Windemere, Florida.

Raychel Coudriet, a 22-year-old University of Alabama senior, has known Woods, 33, since she was just a starstruck 14-year-old girl. Of course that didn’t stop the panting lothario from putting the moves on her last year, according to one of the student’s close friends. The pair ended up having wild sex in Tiger’s office after an afternoon of flirting last May 29. Coudriet described the sex with Tiger as “mechanical and unemotional” and complained that the romp left her with “a leather burn on her right knee.”

Sad times….Can you imagine how her father must feel?! His neighbor banging his daughter? My Dad would have ripped Woods’ head off by now — but my family’s sort of dysfunctional that way 🙂

The Enquirer claims Tiger worked diligently to get Raychel to hook up with him again — and even bombarded her with filthy text messages while she was away at school.

“When are you coming home again? I want to see you. What are you doing right now? Are you touching yourself? I want to f*** you,” an increasingly desperate Tiger texted in one.

Attacked by her conscious, the young student branded Woods a “stalker” and refused to respond to any more of his advances.

“The two of them had sex on a couch for hours — right next to a crib for Tiger’s children. The crib made Raychel fell guilty — that she was having sex with a married man with children, but she was smitten,” Courdriet’s pal disclosed. “Raychel told me, ‘When all these other women came out, I felt so stupid. I felt used and violated, like I meant nothing to him but a night of casual sex….He told me, ‘You’re the girl in my neighborhood — I trust you. There are no other women….”

Oprah’s not ready to say goodbye to the small screen just yet.

On Thursday, The Queen of Talk announced that she’ll host an evening talk show on her new cable network (OWN) called Oprah’s Next Chapter. Although she will be saying goodbye to her long running daytime talk show next year, Oprah is said to be excited about fronting the hour-long nighttime program, The Wall Street Journal said on Thursday.

The plan is for the show to see Winfrey travel around the globe to meet with her subjects. “I’m going to take viewers with me, going to take celebrities I want to interview with me around the world,” O told the WSJ.

The Oprah Winfrey Network — which will also feature a daytime talk show hosted by Jenny McCarthy and a docusoap staring country starlet Shania Twain — is set to hit the air on January 1, 2011. The network is a joint venture between Winfrey’s Harpo Inc. and Discovery Communications Inc.

After watching Kate Gosselin’s rhythmless paso doble to the sounds of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” on Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars, many DWTS fans were left scratching their heads and looking for the precise word to describe Kate’s effed-up brand of bad two-steppin’. After all, “dreadful” just doesn’t seem to capture the true essence of her suckery. Thank goodness for Bruno Tonioli! This just in: TLC has ordered 12 episodes of Twist of Kate, a new reality spinoff featuring former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin and her child army brigade! The family has also been tapped to appear in several Kate Plus 8 specials hitting the network this year, a TLC rep has confirmed.

The specials will focus on her life as a single mother and costar the young Gosselin brood, despite the series of well-publicized clashes between Kate and her ex-husband, Jon, who is in the process of suing Kate for custody of their eight children — twin daughters Mady and Cara and sextuplets Joel, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Hannah, and Alexis.

In Twist of Kate, the reality TV superstar “will use fan letters from women inspired by her story as the basis for profiles of women facing their own challenges,” USA TODAY said Thursday. The series will see Gosselin visiting the homes and workplaces of everyday people.

“I look at it as a loose concept,” says the original Octomom, who claims she shied away from the idea of appearing in her own dating show. “I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don’t consider myself an expert on anything.”

“She will be in that person’s shoes. And more often than not, it’s not going to be terribly comfortable for her. She’s game for things, but she also has limits and boundaries,” explained TLC chief Eileen O’Neill.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy ended their five-year relationship this week and a friend of the couple blames Carrey’s long struggle with depression for prompting the shocking split.

According to Star Magazine, the two have been having problems for months due to Jim’s unwillingness to seek professional help.

“They always seem so happy in public yet they have had their share of breaks. Jenny has been very supportive of Jim, but he has refused to take medication that seems necessary for his condition,” the insider says. “The crazy highs and dark lows were just too much for her. It was such an emotional roller coaster for her. When he’d get really down, he’d just disappear. He would hide out in a hotel or one of his homes, not answering her calls.”

The 48-year-old actor announced the split on his Twitter page Tuesday, but insisted the split was amicable.

“Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful for the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best. S’okay! Be of good cheer folks! It’s a beautiful world, and we’re all gonna get what we need the most! (sic)” he wrote.

Jenny also addressed the breakup online, saying she was “grateful” for their time together and would continue to be “committed” to his daughter Jane, 22, who recently welcomed a baby boy.

Jim has been married twice: first to waitress Melissa Womer – Jane’s mother – who he split from in 1995. He later wed his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly. They divorced in 1997. Jenny was also previously married: the former Playboy model was with actor-and-director John Mallory Asher for six years before they split in 2005.

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, actress Lea Michele, 23, reveals that she isn’t as straight-laced as the giddy character she portrays on television’s Glee: the star has nine tattoos!

Lea, who plays overachieving Rachel Berry on the hit show, even convinced series co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Kevin McHale (Artie) to have matching tattoos of the word “Imagine” inked on their left feet.

“I’m known to be the instigator to do some more risky stuff – so we have little tattoos on our feet now… It made a lot of sense that night.”

Her other body art includes a blue butterfly on her right foot drawn by her cousin, a butterfly on her back which she got with her mother, and a bird on her hip. The devoted animal rights activist has received a boost of votes from PETA supporters.

The folks at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — who have partnered with Anderson on initiatives on everything from saving Canadian seals to taking down KFC — publicized the star’s anti-bull-fighting-themed dance on its blogs and Twitter this week and encouraged PETA members and supporters to help keep the actress on the show, according to MSNBC’s “The Scoop.”

“Pam’s tireless work to expose cruelty in the meat and fur trades has created a very emotional bond with PETA’s two million members and supporters who are thrilled to see her and vote for her on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” a PETA spokesperson explains.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest promised a surprise at the beginning of Wednesday’s Results Show. This time he meant what he said.

American Idol judges used their one-time save to rescue Florida dad Michael Lynche from elimination Wednesday after viewers of the talent show gave the thumbs-down to the Teddy Bear singer’s rendition of “Eleanor Rigby.” Mike took the stage for a gospel-inspired take on Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work” to try to earn the judges’ save — he was successful. Audience voting was overruled when the judging panel gave Lynche their once-a-season save, noting that the burly crooner has consistently staged strong performances and won their praise.

“We all wish you did something like that yesterday,” judge Simon Cowell said. “This is why you’re in the position you’re in right now, because of what happened yesterday. We only have one save in the competition, and this is unanimous – we have decided we’re going to see you next week.”

Country queen Shania Twain is set to make her debut on the small screen by starring in her own reality TV series.

The Oprah Winfrey Network has ordered a full season of 60 minute episodes of the docusoap Why Not? With Shania Twain.

“The show will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures,” the network said Thursday.

The Grammy winner has been rebuilding her life since her marriage to Robert “Mutt” Lange ended in 2008 following the producer’s alleged affair with her friend and employee Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

Shania’s no stranger to the camera: She has posted several personal videos to her website of travels across the globe with her 8-year-old son Eja and her blossoming romance with her boyfriend Frederic, who is Thiebaud’s ex-husband.

Is Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp ready to make an honest woman out of pop star Rihanna?

Probably not, but Bossip.com sure thinks so.

The site cites celebrity snitches who claim the 22-year-old is rocking a new engagement ring after saying “yes” to a surprise proposal from her baseballer beau last week.

“Matt surprised Rihanna last week when he approached her and asked for her hand in marriage. She said yes, but also relayed the message of feeling that this may be too soon and a long engagement should follow.”

The couple — who have been dating since last winter — reportedly moved in together in March.

Lady Gaga has reached out to a Tennessee teen, who was sent home from school — to national headlines — this week after wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan “I Love Lady Gay Gay.” School administrators claimed the shirt caused “disruption” among students.

Cole Goforth was sent home from Greenbrier High School in Tennessee on Monday after he arrived wearing the shirt, referring to the pop sensation and gay icon. A dress code implemented by the local school board does not specifically ban shirts with the word “gay” on them, but principals and instructors can penalize violators at their own discretion.

The “Poker Face” hitmaker, who is currently in Australia as part of her sold-out Monster Ball Tour, heard about the fracas Down South and hit her Twitter page to defend her 15-year-old fan in a series of posts decrying the suspension.

“Thank u for wearing your tee-shirt proud at school, you make me so proud… You are an inspiration to us all. I love you,” Gaga Tweeted to Goforth.

She later added, “Been in the studio for days and hours of record after record, and when I hear that a little monster (fan) was discriminated against BY TEACHERS… It reminds me of my commitment (and) love for you, and the deep unconditional devotion I feel to write music that will liberate you from prejudice….”

The school argues that a shirt with the word “gay” on it could potentially make other students feel “uncomfortable.”

“I just think my sexuality isn’t widely accepted around here, so of course they are going to single me out,” says Colin, who is gay.

His mom agrees: “I think they are singling him out… They’ve made statements that if he wore this in California, he’d fit in just fine,” Julie Gordon added.
