  • Chief Keef Arrested On Marijuana Charge

Chief Keef, the 17-year old rap star, has been arrested in Atlanta for smoking weed in an upscale hotel.

Keef has been arrested twice before despite his young age and was sued earlier this year for child support by a girl who claims he got her pregnant when he was just 15. One of his previous arrests was for heroin manufacture.

The rapper has been in Atlanta shooting a video with Gucci Mane for the track “Darker”.

  • Cuomo Warns Khloe About Copyright Infringement

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has reportedly sent Khloe Kardashian a letter informing her that a design on one of her t-shirts is too similar to a logo currently under copyright.

The design shows the Statue of Liberty above a row of crops, which is almost exactly like a logo made for the Department of Agriculture’s “Pride of New York” campaign. Cuomo’s office says that if Khloe doesn’t stop selling the shirt within five days, the state will file a lawsuit.

“The State of New York has invested substantial time, effort and resources creating the respect and goodwill associated with the trademark,” the letter reads.

Kardashian created the shirts as part of the “Rich Soil” clothing line she began with husband Lamar Odom; the tees go for about $35 apiece. The “Pride of New York” logo was created in order to easily identify locally grown foods, so it’s no surprise that the governor doesn’t want Khloe’s clothing line confused with the initiative.

Look for products displaying the Pride of New York logo when you shop and support your neighbors – the generations of family farms and food processors who have made New York State one of America’s leading suppliers of food and agricultural products.

  • Wife Douses Husband With Beer At Cubs Game

What happens when you accidentally spill your beer on your wife while trying to protect her from a wayward ball to the face? If you’re one man, you get a drink dumped on you.

A woman was caught on camera throwing her (expensive) beer on her hubs while they were watching a Cubs game on Sunday after he did just that. Apparently the woman was upset at getting wet and said she couldn’t resist a little payback.

“I just got livid,’ the woman, identified only as Ellen, said. ‘And I took my beer and splooshed it in his face. I figured if I’m wet, he might as well be wet too.”

Her husband took it in stride; the couple was all smiles after the game.

  • Kate Hudson, Zach Braff Team Up For Kickstarter Film

Kate Hudson has joined the cast of Zach Braff’s Kickstarter-funded film, “Wish I Was Here”, and not everyone is happy about it.

The Kickstarter campaign, which surpassed its $2 million goal in three days, was a highly controversial move on Braff’s part and was the talk of Twitter for a while as moviegoers wondered why they should give up their hard-earned cash to a millionaire actor.

Still, he’s continuing to get backers on the crowd-sourcing site, so there are people who want to see this movie get made. According to Kickstarter, the campaign will end on Friday. Braff, who wrote the script with his brother, will direct and star as a 30-something husband and father who is struggling to find his identity.

Also announced in the cast lineup are Josh Gad and Mandy Patinkin.

  • Christian Bale Unrecognizable With New Look

Christian Bale is sporting a new look these days, and while he’s the kind of actor who will lose massive amounts of weight for a role–think “The Machinist”, for which he lost 63 pounds–that doesn’t mean we’re used to his sudden changes.

Bale was spotted coming through LAX with his family recently and was almost unrecognizable with his shaved head and heavier physique. The actor has been filming scenes for the upcoming film “American Hustle”, which also stars Amy Adams and Robert De Niro.

The 39-year old has undergone several bodily changes over the years and will do pretty much anything necessary for the role, including gaining and losing weight rapidly and putting on lean muscle for films like “The Dark Knight”. He’s never speculated much on the health consequences for the extremes he goes to, however, saying of his weight loss for “The Machinist”, “I had what could be called a kind of stupid feeling of invincibility, like, ‘Oh I can do it. I can manage it.’ ”

  • “SNL” Cast Crisis As Key Members Take Off

“Saturday Night Live” may be facing a serious blow soon when Bill Hader and Seth Meyers leave, and that can’t be good for a show that has already seen a slip in viewership due to a severe lack of funny (although this past weekend garnered exceptionally high ratings when Ben Affleck hosted and Kanye West was the musical guest).

Hader and Meyers are two of the biggest catalysts in the show’s success, and to see them go will mean the producers will have to lean heavily on the talents of newcomers, especially with rumors floating that Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis will be leaving soon as well.

But some think that a large cast rotation is a good thing, judging by past events. It might make room for a fresh crop of hungry talent, and that could be just what the show needs.

This past weekend’s show was the last for Hader, who says it was bittersweet.

“It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point,” Hader said. “It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go.’”

  • Panettiere Rumors: “No Ring” Yet, She Says

Hayden Panettiere is having quite a year as her show “Nashville” takes off, and fans want to know if she’ll be upping her game with an engagement announcement soon.

Rumors began when the young actress was spotted out with a flashy diamond ring, but the jewels were on the wrong hand to be an engagement ring and besides, she claims it hasn’t happened yet. When asked about the rumors at the Billboard Music Awards, Panettiere held up her bare left hand and said, “No ring.”

Panettiere attended the ceremony with her boxer boyfriend, Wladimir Klitschko, with whom she’s had an on-again, off-again relationship for the past couple of years. And despite her adamant protests to the contrary, rumors are still flying that she and Klitschko are about to make it official.

  • Chad Johnson In Custody, Claims It’s A “Misunderstanding”

Chad Johnson, the former NFL star who found himself without a job when he was released from the Miami Dolphins last summer, was arrested early this morning on a probation violation.

Johnson is on probation after a domestic violence dispute with his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, and has been placed in jail on $1,000 bond. Prosecutors are asking that he spend a minimum of 60 days in jail after he failed to report to his probation officer. However, Johnson says it was all just a misunderstanding and a lack of communication between him and his attorney is to blame.

“I didn’t do anything on purpose,” Johnson said. “I wouldn’t blatantly not show up.”

The judge didn’t buy his story, though, and says he doesn’t think Johnson is taking his sentence seriously. A new hearing will take place on June 3.

  • 7 Horses Test Positive For Steroids, Trainer Banned

7 Horses have tested positive for steroids in what is shaping up to be a bigger investigation than the British Horseracing Authority originally thought.

The horses, which were all trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni, were screened after 11 other horses from the same stable tested positive. Al Zarooni admitted to giving steroids to four horses and has been banned by the BHA for eight years, though he says he plans to appeal that decision. In a shocking twist, one of the horses involved was 2012 St Leger winner Encke.

“These test results endorse the swift action and measures taken by the BHA in this matter,” said BHA chief executive Paul Bittar. “Whatever the outcome of his appeal before the independent Appeal Board, the gravity and scale of the infringements warranted Mahmood Al Zarooni being removed from control of the yard as quickly as possible. We welcome the news that Saeed bin Suroor’s horses tested negative and this clears the way for him to now take charge of Moulton Paddocks.”

According to The Daily Mail, the horses involved in the latest scandal are:

    ENCKE
Raced four times in 2012 concluding with victory in the St Leger (Group 1) on September 15 at Doncaster. Unraced since. The horse was subjected to post race tests (both negative) on 22nd August at York and again at Doncaster after the St Leger.

    ENERGIZER
Won at Royal Ascot 2012 when trained in Germany. Finished last of six in the Great Voltigeur (Group 2) at York on 22nd August on only start for Mahmood Al Zarooni. Unraced since.

    GENIUS BEAST
Unraced since finishing eighth of nine in 2011 St Leger.

    IMPROVISATION
Ran twice in 2012 as a two year old, finishing third to Steeler on his second start in a Goodwood maiden. Won a maiden race at Newmarket on 17th April 2013 after which the horse was not selected for post race testing.

    STAMFORD
Ran twice in 2012 as a two year old, finishing third and fourth in maiden races. Unraced since.

    STEELER
As yet unraced in the colours of Godolphin. Ran six times for Mark Johnston as a two year old including winning the Royal Lodge (Group 2) at Newmarket and finishing third in the Racing Post Trophy before transferring to Godolphin.

    ZIP TOP
Unraced since finishing second to Camelot in Racing Post Trophy in October 2011, when trained by Jim Bolger.

  • Sinbad: Bankrupt And $8 Million In Debt

Sinbad, the popular ’90s comedian and sitcom star, is reportedly into the IRS for some major money, and filed for bankruptcy in April

The 53-year old actor allegedly owes more than $8 million to the IRS and several hundred thousand to various creditors, but can only claim about $131,000 in assets. He was forced to put his Hidden Hills estate up for sale a while back in an effort to pay down his debts, and this is the second time he’s filed for bankruptcy. According to court documents, he brings in about $16,000 a month and simply can’t keep up with his bills.

Sinbad isn’t the only celebrity plagued by money problems; last year, “CSI” star Gary Dourdan filed for bankruptcy to get out of credit card debt. Wesley Snipes has also gone to court.

Maybe Sinbad can reprise his guest-starring role on “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” and make some quick cash.

  • Stewart/Pattinson Split: Is It For Good This Time?

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have reportedly split up again, despite being seen in public recently holding hands.

The couple have been patching things up since Stewart cheated on her “Twilight” co-star with her “Snow White And The Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, but they appear to have hit another rough patch.

“They are going to stay living at Kristen’s house because of the dogs,” a source said. “It’s not fully over or he would have moved out.”

Pattinson reportedly didn’t show up to a birthday get-together Stewart threw for him recently, which started rumors flying about a potential breakup. But friends of the couple say they’ve been through hard times before and they always find their way back to each other.

Stewart released a public apology after she was busted with Sanders, saying, “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

  • Stray Bullet Kills Girl On New York Bus

A 14-year old girl was the victim of a random act of gun violence on Saturday after a gunman opened fire when a city bus was stopped at a traffic light.

The gunman fired ten shots into the bus, one of which hit Deja Robinson in the head. New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly commented on the girl’s tragic death, saying, “Terrible – this is, as I say, another senseless shooting.”

It appears that the gunman–who was outside the bus while it was stopped on Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica–was not targeting the girl specifically. Robinson was coming home from a friend’s Sweet 16 party, and officials have interviewed other attendees who say there was no altercation that would have led to the shooting.

“One thing is clear — she was not, in our judgment, the target of the shooting,” Kelly said.

So far, no arrests have been made, but witnesses describe the shooter as a male, between 18 and 25 years old, wearing a black sweater. Now, Robinson’s family and friends are left to mourn the young life of a girl who was doing nothing more than riding the bus home.

“She was a good kid, she didn’t deserve this,” neighborhood resident Kenny Brown said.

Sadly, Robinson is the latest in a string of accidental gunshot victims this year. In February, two teen girls in Chicago were in the wrong place at the wrong time and were hit by stray bullets. Both died from their wounds.

  • Bottle Hits Singer At Riverrock Festival

A bottle thrown from the crowd at the Riverrock outdoor music festival on Saturday night hit Toots and the Maytals singer Frederick Hibbert, sending him to the hospital.

The bottle was apparently thrown by 19-year old William Lewis who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and public intoxication. Investigators say they are looking into how Lewis got hold of the bottle–which was a heavy vodka container–and say they believe he stole it from an open bar area.

“We believe it was stolen from the mixed-beverage sales area and not brought in from the outside,” Jack Berry, executive director of Richmond Venues, said. “We will of course debrief the incident and determine whether there are any improvements we can make to our security procedures.”

Hibbert staggered offstage after the bottle hit and had to be rushed to the hospital to close up a laceration on his head. The performance was cut short by about 15 minutes.

“Dominion Riverrock is a wonderful event for our community, but unfortunately this edition has been marred by the actions of one individual…This was one individual who committed a horrible act,” Berry said.

  • Brady Bunch Reunion At Ohio Amusement Park

A “Brady Bunch” reunion took place at an Ohio amusement park over the weekend to mark the 40th anniversary of the episode that took place there in the ’70s.

The famous episode was filmed at King’s Island, which is not far from Cincinnati. Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, and Susan Olsen showed up to celebrate with some roller coaster rides and also held four shows during their stay, where they answered fans’ questions and reminisced about the good old days.

The episode was one of the most popular for the show, up there with the family’s vacation to Hawaii. Audiences seemed to enjoy seeing the Bradys get out of their oddly-built house (can we say “no toilets”?) and into real-world situations.

“I think everybody, at some point in their life, wanted to be a Brady,” Williams said. “Their whole family seemed so perfect. They were so nice. I think it resonates with the child in all of us to want to be Brady.”

  • Alan O’Day Dies: “Undercover Angel” Singer Was 72

Alan O’Day, a singer/songwriter who penned several hits for others before finding his own success, has died from complications of cancer. He was 72 years old.

O’Day wrote successful songs for artists like The Righteous Brothers, Cher, and Helen Reddy in the early ’70s before finding his own fanbase with “Undercover Angel” in 1974. Later, he wrote songs for popular television shows, such as the children’s cartoon “The Muppet Babies”.

“Alan continued to write and perform until his last days,” a statement from 1st Phase Records reads. “Alan was a generous man who gave his heart and soul to the music industry.”
