  • Sarah Palin Slams “Family Guy” On “The O’Reilly Factor”

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin appeared on The O’Reilly Factor on Tuesday, where she likened Family Guy’s recent mocking of her son Trig’s Down syndrome to a “kick in the gut.” Earlier this week, Palin’s teen mom daughter, Bristol, posted a statement on the politician’s Facebook page denouncing Seth MacFarlane, creator of the animated hit, for using 22-month-old Trig to poke fun at Palin in an episode that aired on the program last Sunday.

For those who may have missed it, the episode features the Griffins’ bumbling son Chris falling for a snippy girl with Down syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do. To which she replies: “My dad’s an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska.”

“As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks…..” Bristol Palin

On last night’s O’Reilly Factor, the older Palin also blasted Rahm Emanuel for using the word “retard” in a closed door meeting with liberal activists. Oddly, she has kinder words for fellow conservative Rush Limbaugh, who used the same slur. Palin claims Limbaugh’s use of the word was meant as “satire” while Emanuel was clearly just trying to be mean-spirited.

  • Ryan O’Neal Flubs Lines On “90210″

Hey Ryan, maybe its time to retire? Oscar-winning actor Ryan O’Neal is tapping scenes for a multi-arc guest appearance on the current season of The CW’s 90210, but the trouble-prone star’s turn as the often-referenced, never before seen actor father of Teddy (Trevor Donovan) isn’t going as well as series producers would have hoped. O’Neal’s is leaving a bad taste in the mouth of series cast and crew, who accuse the Paper Moon vet of constantly flubbing lines and showing up to set unprepared.

The cast is livid with Ryan, whose mistakes are forcing them to reshoot scenes.

The National Enquirer’s Gossip Guy Mike Walker dishes: “The 68-year-old veteran’s driving the director, cast and crew NUTS, goofing up even the simplest dialogue and forcing them to plant cue cards around the set – hidden behind a lamp, peeking out from flower pots, etc…..”

  • Roger Ebert “Happy” Despite Cancer Battle That Stole His Voice

Roger Ebert is lifting the lid on what his life looks like since he lost his ability to speak four years ago. The Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic now writes review for The Chicago Sun-Times, but he first found fame on the small screen — where he coined the phrase “Two Thumbs Up” with late partner Gene Siskel. In an interview with Esquire Magazine this month, Ebert reveals how he communicates without his voice. In addition to creating his own form of sign language, Mr. Ebert also relies heavily on Post-It notes and to show that he is laughing, he closes his eyes and slaps both hands on his knees.

Esquire also released a new photo of the native Chicagoan, which reveals the effects of drastic reconstructive surgeries on his jaw since his diagnosis with thyroid cancer in 2002, which was followed by a malignant tumor on his jaw four years later. The surgeries were so difficult that he refuses to go under the knife any more — but Egbert notes that his mouth is now shaped into a permanent smile and there is “no need to pity” him.

He writes: “There is no need to pity me…Look how happy I am…..I believe that if, at the end of it all, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn’t always know this, and am happy I lived long enough to find it out.”

The Little Lady joined the winner’s circle ring at America’s top dog show with her handler Gabriel Rangel.

Moment before judge Elliott Weiss crowned 4-year-old Sadie, a pair of PETA protesters walked into the big ring at Madison Square Garden and held signs over their heads that said “Mutts Rule” and “Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs’ Chances.” The animal rights group is a harsh critic of the show, which is for 2,500 purebred dogs. • “Jersey Shore” Stars J-WOWW & Snooki Are Not Italian

What do you mean they’re not guidettes?!

Italian-American interest groups have been up in arms over MTV’s breakout hit reality series Jersey Shore ever since seven guidos and guidettes invaded Seaside Heights — and pop culture — last November. Groups like the National Italian-American Foundation have been among the show’s toughest critics. So we wonder what The NIAF will think once they find out that a couple of The Shore’s most popular guidettes don’t hail from The Old Country after all.

  • Jessica Simpson Allure March 2010: “I’ll Never Go Nude”

Jessica Simpson may be known for her famous curves, but the star has no plans to go bare on the big screen — even if such a move could net her an Oscar.

“I will never do nudity,” Jessica told Allure in its March issue. “I will never do nudity… I don’t care if I frickin’ could get an Oscar for it, I’m not going to do it. I don’t think people deserve to see what’s under my clothing. That’s only for my next husband!” she added with a laugh.

For her new VH1 show, Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty — which premieres at 10 PM on March 15 — the busty blonde traveled to seven foreign countries to explore different concepts of beauty. “When I think of America, it’s very diverse, but we do have the cookie-cutter way we’re supposed to look, and going to all these countries, it’s so completely different. I was fascinated going on that journey to discover that, even just for myself….”

Jessica On Her 2009 Weight Scandal: “I would not wish on my worst enemy what I went through. When I walk through an airport and people go, ‘You’re not fat!’ I’m like, ‘Thanks. Thanks. That’s great. Good to know I’m not fat today. Thank you!’”

Jessica On America’s Obsession With Weight: “Disgusting…My job is to be creative, and I’m not weighing in for anybody…..”

Jessica On Turning 30: “I never really thought, growing up, ‘What am I gonna be like when I’m 30?’ I just kind of thought I had it figured it out: I’m going to be this great pop star, have my songs on the radio, be married, and have babies….But things can be taken away from you. A song can not be played on the radio. An album can not work. The pressures of life have come to me at a very young age, and it’s how you deal with those pressures and who you surround yourself with that continue to feed your soul.”

Jessica Sounds Off On Tony Romo: “I talked to Tony today,” she says. “I’m still a fan [of the Dallas Cowboys]. I’m a huge fan. I wear my gear, and I cheer Tony on….None of my breakups, none of it’s been bitter.”

Jessica On Being Real: “I’m vulnerable in any moment,” says Simpson. “I don’t care if the cameras are on or not, you’re going to get the real me. There’s no reason to mask that, because that’s what has given me the chance to be in a powerful position.”
