  • Whites Banned From Jay-Z Brit Awards Afterparty?

The “99 Problems” superstar threw a lavish bash at London’s Merah nightclub in London following his Best International Male Solo win at the ceremony on Tuesday, but the atmosphere turned nasty after security personnel working on the doors of the VIP room allegedly refused to allow any white people into the area, while allowing black partygoers through, according to Britain’s Daily Star.

The Star’s music reporter Kim Dawson writes: “I’ve been to countless showbiz bashes but never have I met meatheads like those at the Jay-Z do (party). Jay-Z is a megastar and yet it was clear white people were not welcome in his VIP area. While the red rope was lifted for black guests to breeze through, let’s just say it stayed down if your face didn’t fit. I have never felt so intimidated. It left me feeling like a mauled dog.”

    How sad, if true!

A spokesman for Jay-Z told the paper that the rapper had nothing to do with the security, while the venue’s owners claimed guests were unable to get into the exclusive bash purely because of “numbers.”

  • Jessica Simpson Watch Collection With Pascal Mouawad

Singer/sometimes actress Jessica Simpson is adding a new venture to her growing lifestyle brand by designing a collection of designer watches with Pascal Mouawad.

The 29-year-old Simpson — who already designs a line of footwear, swimwear, and handbags under her Jessica Simpson brand — has struck an exclusive licensing agreement with renowned celebrity jeweler Mouawad to design, develop, produce, and distribute a line of fashion watches for her collection, FOX News revealed this week. The license is the 21st product category for Simpson’s brand.

“Creating and inspiring the collection is very near to my heart – my mom and I work on this collectively and it is a passion for both of us. It is a joy to be able to create a line that is affordable and fashionable,” Jessica said in a statement announcing the deal this week. “And collecting watches, both vintage and new, has been a hobby of mine for some time so adding watches to the collection was a natural extension,” she explained.

The debut collection will include 35 designs, retailing for between $60 and $250. According to the Mouawad, each will speak to Simpson’s personal style, varying from classic leather and menswear styles to more bejeweled looks.

“Jessica is a business woman with great vision and the Camuto Group (the master licensee for the Jessica Simpson Collection) has done a phenomenal job in building the brand across multiple categories,” Mouawad said. “With Jessica’s good taste, flair for fashionable trends and iconic image, it was a natural fit for us to collaborate on a collection of fashion watches.”

The Jessica Simpson Watch Collection is slated to launch in department stores, specialty stores and select online stores, including JessicaSimpson.com, this fall.

  • “Glee” Leaves Lea Michele With Back Trouble

FOX’s breakout small screen smash Glee is known for its energetic dance numbers, but the show has left series stunner Lea Michele with recurring back spasms.

Lea, 23, who plays aspiring actress Rachel Berry on the show, has suffered with damaged back muscles, thanks to her high-energy job. The popular musical comedy, which is based around an all-singing, all-dancing glee club at Ohio’s fictional McKinley High School, is made up of tough routines that have taken their toll on the former Broadway starlet.

She tells OK! Magazine: “We all did this one dance number a couple of weeks ago that was extremely gruelling. Now I have back spasms every so often. I’ll be talking and be like, ‘Excuse me a minute,’ and my back will just spaz out. And then I’ll be fine. But we ignore it because we’re all just happy doing what we do. We don’t pay attention to our injuries.”

  • Serena Williams, Nail Technician

Two hundred and forty hours may seem like a lot, but I intend on completing it within the year. It normally takes 6 weeks!!!”

Serena, who also took classes to become a clothing designer, is hoping to jazz up her mandatory scrubs while she studies. After all, whoever said education can’t be fashionable?

“Not only do I plan on being the top student to graduate from my nail school, but I also intend on being the most fashionable!” she blogged. “We have to wear blue scrubs. So I asked the administrator can I wear pink but she insisted on blue. I found the cutest blue scrub top (Grey’s Anatomy should take note) and super cute cargo pants!”
