“One time I saw Lindsay and she had a large welt on her head. She told me that Sam beat the s**t out of her. She also said that Sam even punched and choked her one time,” a mutual pal spilled to RadarOnline.com this week.

Although they have officially broken up, the two women still have regular contact with each other, which makes things hard on Lindsay. “It’s so twisted. They’re not together, but they are. Angelina Jolie dashed from the Super Bowl to the Dominican Republic, where she visited Haiti earthquake survivors hospitalized in the Caribbean nation, on Monday.

Angie slipped out of neighboring Miami after cheering the New Orleans Saints to victory and flew to Santo Domingo, where dozens of survivors of the Jan. 12 quake are still receiving medical help.

The 7.0 earthquake is believed to have killed more than 200,000 people.

The actress and devoted humanitarian, who serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and UNICEF, visited Haitian children in the pediatric wing of Dario Contreras Hospital, The Associated Press said Monday. Reality Octomom Kate Gosselin is scheduled to release her third book this Spring. Gosselin has penned a personal memoir, titled I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family, that will feature excerpts from her journal and letters to her eight children. The newly-divorced Kate previously wrote two New York Times Best Sellers about life with the littlest Gosselins, Multiple Blessings and Eight Little Faces.

“Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised,” Gosselin, who is currently filming a new series for TLC, said in a statement Monday. “I know they will have a lot of questions about things that may not make sense because they were raised so unconventionally. I don’t want them to grow up and wonder; I want them to know without a shadow of a doubt how much I love them and how much every sacrifice made was worth it for them.”

I Just Want You To Know is scheduled for release April 13.

Kendra claims eager photographers were scrambling to get a shot of her newborn son, Hank IV, which left her frightened for the baby’s safety.

“I wasn’t cryin cuz of the damn game it’s cuz the paparazzi have no soul…they wouldn’t leave me n family alone!” Kendra fumed on her Twitter page on Monday. “People like to twist this stuff..we asked them to stop cuz of the baby n they were way too close n they didn’t care at all,” Kendra wrote in a further attempt to explain her emotional outburst. “Not sayin im tryin to be private but there should be some law on how close they get to your n your child.”

Alice Tan Ridley, mother of Academy Award-nominated Precious star Gabourey Sidibe, has been singing her heart out in subway stations around New York City three days a week for 18 years!

A R&B/Gospel fixture in the Big Apple, Ridley worked as a nursery-school teacher and a Department of Education teacher’s aide before relocating her act to Manhattan’s train stations — she also croons in Penn Station and 14th Street/Union Square. MTV is demanding that the cast of its smash series Jersey Shore put the kibosh on its bustling schedule of personal appearances. That means no more accepting money and/or hair gel and tanning lotion to show up at a clubs, parties, Bar Mitzvahs, or the local Tastee Freeze. Since finding fame on the trashy reality smash, series stars like The Situation, J-WOWW, Vinny, and Pauly D have been pulling in up to $7,500 a night making appearances at venues across the country. And they’re not just being asked to show up at clubs and parties, either. Last week, the gang’s manager, Michael Schweiger, revealed that one fan offered $50,000 to have Pauly D walk her down the aisle at her wedding.

Offers like that are bad for business, says MTV. And network execs are banging the gavel.

Under the terms of a new contract — which reportedly pays each cast member approximately $180,000 for Season 2 of Jersey Shore — cast members are now only permitted to make two appearances per week, or face fines from MTV, The New York Post’s Page Six Column said Tuesday. This could be prove a problem for Schweiger, who claims the cast is already booked through May!

A strip club in Toledo, Ohio has raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief, thanks to its “Lap Dances for Haiti” Campaign.

The shake dancers of Marilyn’s on Monroe donated all proceeds from the $10 cover charges it collected last Saturday to ISOH/IMPACT, an Perrysburg, Ohio-based non-profit that has been providing food and clothing to the survivors of the devastating tremor that rattled the island nation last month.

Kenny Soprano is Marilyn’s Pimp General Manager. Soprano says his establishment had been looking for a reason to hold a charity fundraiser as a way to improve its image even before the quake. When the gang at Marilyn’s heard about the disaster in Haiti, they knew they’d found their cause.

ISOH/IMPACT CEO Linda Greene couldn’t care less with where the money came from. She says her group appreciates any donations to help Haiti….even those that come for those other ladies of night.

Nineteen-term Pennsylvania State Representative John Murtha, an influential critic of the Iraq War, died in Virginia on Monday following complications from gallbladder surgery. He was 77.

In 1974 Murtha, then an officer in the Marine Reserves, became the first Vietnam War combat veteran elected to Congress.

Ironically, it was Kendra’s football-fumbling husband who screwed his team’s chances of winning the game! Maybe she’s crying because she realized she married a loser? Things started at well for the Colts, who came in to last night’s game as the expected winner. The game took a turn for the worst when Hank dropped the football, which gave the Saints an opportunity to land a touchdown. The Saints went on to beat the Colts 31-17, in what would become the most watched telecast in history.

The folks at Nielsen weren’t kidding when they said Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts was on its way to setting a ratings record. The 2010 NFL Championship Game is now the most watched program in television history.

Last night’s Super Bowl was watched by 106.5 million people, doing the Mash Potato all over the series finale of “M*A*S*H,” which garnered 105.97 million viewers when it aired in 1983.

The game was most popular in New Orleans , Washington, DC (Where Mother Nature is keeping residents under siege with more than 30 inches of snow!), Nashville, and Indianapolis.

Super Bowl XLIV also surpassed last year’s record viewership for the game between Arizona and Pittsburgh — only 98.7 million tuned in for that one.

Michael Jackson’s doctor has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the pop legend’s death.

The count alleges that Dr. Conrad Murray — the Houston physician who was with the King of Pop when he died last summer – “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson…in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

Murray’s attorney Ed Chernoff says the doctor will plead not guilty.

Jackson, 50, hired Murray to be his personal physician as he prepared for a strenuous series of comeback performances at London’s O2 Arena last summer. Murray is believed to have given Michael an overdose of Propofol to treat the singing legend’s struggle with insomnia.

Propofol is a hospital-strength anesthetic, so it’s unusual that it was being used simply help the star sleep.

The cardiologist is scheduled to be arraigned at the courthouse adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport Monday afternoon at 4:30 ET/1:30 PT. If convicted, Murray could face up to 4 years in prison.

For film fans born before 1979, Meryl Streep is arguably one of the best actresses that’s ever lived. Thousands of ’80s Babies, on the other hand, fail to see what all the Streep Fever is about. Despite the naysayers, who scream “Streep’s Overrated!,” Russell Brand’s love for the screen legend remains unchanged.

In fact, the envelope-pushing British comic is convinced that the Oscar winner would be ideal for a starring role in his long-awaited reworking of Dudley Moore’s cinema classic, Arthur, The Daily Mail’s resident showbiz snitch Baz Bamigboye has learned.

In the 1981 original, the late Moore plays Arthur — a drunken millionaire who flips his family the finger by falling in love with the blue collar girl next door, played by Liza Minnelli. Along for the ride is Arthur’s trusted butler Hobson, who’s always there with just the bit advice the playboy needs to hear. In Brand’s remake, Arthur’s confidante would undergo a sex-change, with Meryl taking over the role.

Meryl hasn’t been offered the role yet, but Brand’s people are in the process of presenting the 60-year-old star with a deal.

Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have filed suit against a British tabloid that published a report claiming the pair recently called it quits after five years of dating.

Brangelina, as the couple are known, have begun legal proceedings against News Group Newspapers Ltd following the false allegations about their relationship. On Jan. 24, The News of the World reported that the couple had signed a separation deal to divide their multimillion dollar fortune and agreed to share custody of their six children.

But Brad and Angie, who have three adopted and three biological children, deny the claims.

Keith Schilling of Schillings, the couple’s London lawyers, said the paper failed to meet “reasonable demands” for a retraction and an apology, so the couple has decided to take things to court.

“The News of the World has failed to meet our clients’ reasonable demands for a retraction of and apology for these false and intrusive allegations which have now been widely republished by mainstream news outlets. We have advised them to bring proceedings which they have now done…..”

On Sunday, Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, attended the Super Bowl in Miami with their young son Maddox. The family watched the game together from a private box at Sun Life Stadium.
