Antonio Banderas is working on a spinoff film starring his popular Shrek character Puss In Boots.

Although the Shrek franchise will bid goodbye to the box office with the fourth and final film in the DreamWorks franchise next month, the Spanish-born actor — who voices the wide-eyed, sword-wielding kitty in the hit films — will continue playing the title role in a new movie, which will also star Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis.

The story focuses on Puss’ childhood, Antonio explains: “I already did the first recordings and it’s going to be called Puss In Boots – it starts when he was very little. He was in an orphanage when he first discovered the effect he has on people – that’s when he starts being intelligent.”

Snooki, The Situation, Vinny, and the rest of the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore is busy filming the second season of their hit docu-series in Miami — and at least one popular establishment in the sunny Florida city is vying to cash in on the worldwide appeal of “GTL.” The posh Metropole Hotel in South Beach — where the cast is presently lodged — has designed a special “Jersey Shore Suite,” which management plans to rent out for $2000 a night after filming returns to Seaside Heights next month.

According to reports, many walls of the old hotel were torn down to make suitable living quarters for the cast of the show. The Metropole isn’t the only hotel getting a boost in business thanks to reality TV’s favorite guidos and guidettes: Earlier this year, the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City introduced the “Jersey Shore Package,” which offers fans of the wildly-popular MTV series the chance to recreate the same “high-energy nightlife fun” that the Shore stars experienced when they visited the establishment in an episode of the popular show that first aired last fall.

As if Sandra Bullock weren’t dealing enough, the Oscar-award winning actress — who is in the midst of a humiliating cheating scandal with her wayward husband Jesse James — has been asked to return her Worst Actress Golden Raspberry Award!

“We are ready to take the unprecedented step of asking a winner to return a Razzie. As Sandra was in such a rush after winning Worst Actress she ran off with the original handmade prototype which has been present at ceremonies since the 1980s.”

Carrie Underwood made history at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, becoming the first woman to win entertainer of the year twice.

Kathy tells cervical cancer to “Suck It!” on an upcoming episode of her Emmy-winning reality show My Life on the D-List.

One very clever gent named Tom Scott has created an application that can measure the average level of intelligence of a celebrity’s Twitter fans based on “stupid indicators” in their Tweets.

“‘Stupid Fight’ is not an exact science, but amazingly it seems to get it right most of the time! A lot of people on Twitter are stupid,” Tom says. “Many of these people follow celebrities and try to send them messages. Stupid Fight can’t go out and administer an intelligence test to each person that’s sending messages to a celebrity. So instead, it estimates based on several stupid indicators,” he continues.

“Are they using twenty exclamation marks in a row? Do they endlessly use the abbreviation ‘OMG’? Do they seem incapable of working out where their Shift key is? These indicators have a strong correlation with the message, and its sender, being stupid.”

ABC is putting together a settlement — a peace package, so to speak — to pursade actress Nicollette Sheridan to drop her $20 million lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.

According London’s Daily Express, network executives can’t stand the idea of a courtroom showdown between Cherry and Sheridan — who claims her former boss assaulted her on set during a dispute over a script in 2008 — therefore, ABC is working to come up with a financial “kiss-off” for the actress.

In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last month, Nicollete alleges that Cherry, 48, “forcefully hit her with his hand across the face and head” after she suggested a script change. The lawsuit also charges Cherry with “intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

“Our legal team is working to get both sides together to see if they can help broker a compromise. This doesn’t mean that anyone is going to hand Nicollette $20 million to drop her action and walk away, but there are various incentives that might be put on the table.”

Just a few days ago, the remaining Housewives: Eva Longoria-Parker, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, and Marcia Cross: issued a statement firmly planting their support behind Cherry in the dispute.

Mel Gibson may have to pay a substantial amount of child support to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva for their five-month-old daughter, Lucia, following their recent breakup.

Although the controversial Oscar winner has not confirmed it, reports surfaced last week claiming Gibson had ended his year-long romance with the mother of his eighth child. Mel began dating Oksana just weeks before announcing his split for wife of 30 years Robin Gibson last March. According to family law attorney Steven Knowles, Gibson may have to shell out $12,000 to $15,000 a month to the Russian singer Grigorieva for their daughter, but probably has no legal responsibility to make alimony payments to Grigorieva because the pair never married.

“This is not dissolution of marriage action. The mother would have rights to child support, which in the case of Mr. Gibson, will be very substantial,” Knowles told PEOPLE this weekend. “He is what we call a high-income earner, and there is a high-income earner stipulation that says they must pay any amount reasonably necessary for the support of the child. Merely living together and having a child does not give the mother any rights to property and certainly no spousal support.”

Goop goddess Gwyneth Paltrow — the Oscar darling film fans love to hate — is tipped to share the Broadway stage with her actress mother Blythe Danner in the musical A Little Night Music. The mother/daughter duo are set to replace Chicago alum Catherine Zeta-Jones and acting vet Angela Lansbury, 84, as the leading actresses in the production, The Telegraph revealed this weekend.

Alexander was photographed being physically restrained by multiple people including a police officer at the festival on Saturday night.bAccording to Sunday’s Huffington Post, the 33-year-old actor became enraged after the photographer refused to stop taking pictures of him with Kate.

The altercation was quickly diffused and no one was arrested.

Before reality stardom came knocking, Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was in quite a financial pickle: The well-chiseled personal trainer filed for unemployment benefits last October.

On the unemployment form – filed in The Sitch’s native of New York State last October 25, just a month before Jersey Shore was unleashed on an unsuspecting world — he claimed that his last job was as a waiter in Florida and noted that he became unemployed the previous July. However times have changed dramatically for Mike in the last few months — he now earns $10,000 per episode for the second season of the smash MTV series that made him one of reality TV’s most recognizable stars.

Beyonce made a surprise appearance at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California last night, joining her husband Jay-Z on stage during his headlining set at the annual musical event.

The superstar singer — dressed in a graphic tee and cut-off denim shorts — joined her other half for a performance of “Young Forever,” a song off his platinum-selling album The Blueprint 3.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I wanna introduce y’all to someone super-duper special,” Jay-Z said in introducing the “Sweet Dreams” singer to crowd cheers. “I’m not even gonna say the name. I’m gonna let her speak for herself.”

“I’d just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually,” was the curt reply from Grace Jones when the “Pull Up To The Bumper” crooner was asked her thoughts on pop sensation Lady Gaga in an interview with England’s The Guardian this week.

The “Love Game” star has a legion of “Little Monsters” marching to the beat of her drum, but avant garde goddess and fashion icon Jones isn’t among them. Grace, now in her sixties, told the newspaper that Gaga once approached her about a possible collaboration between the pair — but the singer/model/and View To Kill actress turned Gaga down, branding the pop star an annoying copycat.

Grace, who has been hitting the stage in eye-catching, outlandish outfits for close to four decades, minced no words when asked if she thinks Gaga borrowed her own nightmarish style ideas from the legend.

“Well, you know, I’ve seen some things she’s worn that I’ve worn, and that does kind of piss me off,” the former Andy Warhol muse told The Guardian. “I wouldn’t go to see her,” she added.

Larry King and his estranged wife Shawn Southwick are considering calling off their pending divorce.

According to reports, the 76-year-old newsman and the former country singer have also agreed to undergo counseling and therapy in order to address the issues plaguing their 13 year marriage in a bid to save it. On Wednesday, both parties filed for divorce or the grounds of irreconcilable differences after Shawn — King’s seventh wife — accused Larry and having an affair with her sister, Shannon Engemann.

The couple appeared to have patched up its differences on Thursday when the stars attended their son’s baseball game in Beverly Hills together, hugging and chatting throughout the game. The couple has two sons together, 11-year-old Chance and nine-year-old Cannon. In his divorce petition, Larry is seeking joint custody of the kids, while Shawn is asking for primary physical custody of the children, as well as spousal and child support.

The pair do not have a prenup, which would entitled Southwick to half off all income amassed by King during their union.

In What Is This World Coming To? News: The visually-impaired can now join the legions of porn junkies who diddle themselves to snapshots of topless women. A Canadian photographer has produced an X-rated braille book for the blind!

Lisa Murphy took photos of friends wearing masks, streamers, Christmas lights, and nothing at all, enlarged the photos and built on top of them with clay to create “Tactile Minds,” a touchable book that includes 17 nude photographs. The 17 images include a naked woman in a “disco pose, a woman with ‘perfect breasts’ and a male love robot,’” according to CNN.com. The book contains “explicit soft-core images” along with Braille text and photos.

Murphy decided to create Tactile Mind because “there are no books of tactile pictures of nudes for adults,” the photog adds that the “blind have been left out in a culture saturated with sexual images.”

The website www.tactilemindbook.com is selling the book for $225 in Canadian dollars.

Actor Danny Glover was arrested and charged with trespassing after taking part in a protest against US food giant Sodexo.

The Color Purple actor was among a group of 12 people who were arrested by local armed police following a rally regarding unfair business practices outside the Sodexo Headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland this afternoon. The Service Employees International Union says it was protesting what it calls Sodexo’s unfair and illegal treatment of workers. The protestors — which included Glover — claim workers in the Sodexo cafeteria are being paid low wages and routinely have their civil rights violated.

Danny’s as known for his activism as he is for his work on the big screen. Earlier this year, Danny threw his support behind a campaign to keep the doors open at a Hugo Boss factory in Ohio as thousands of residents of the cash-strapped state faced unemployed.
The Hollywood vet faces up to 90 days behind bars and a $1,000 if convicted. On a better note, Glover can be seen on the big screen in the new comedy Death at a Funeral.

California may not the “concrete jungle where dreams are made of” — unless of course we’re talking about Los Angeles — but Katy Perry still thinks her hometown deserves a new anthem.

It’s been a minute since we had a California song and especially from a girl’s perspective. We took the references of Prince, which is always a great reference, and some of the ’90s, almost house music references.”

Megan never quite got her “Millionaire” — but she just got pinched for drunk driving. That might be good enough to land her a spot on Celebrity Rehab….

The former Rock of Love contestant-turned-Megan Wants a Millionaire star was driving her BMW to a Miami strip club where she is currently employed when cops pulled her over for doing 75 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Hauserman, 28, was weaving between lanes while driving her black 2008 BMW around 3:15 AM, Miami Beach Police spokeswoman Jenny Velasquez tells E! News. After approaching Megan’s beamer, officers noticed that the blonde was slurring her speech, had bloodshot-red eyes, and had difficulty walking.

Way to act like a lady — so much for the etiquette she learned in Charm School…

Megan then agreed to a breathlyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of .102 — well over the legal limit. The one-time VH1 star was promptly led away in handcuffs.

Megan has since been released and is due in court later this month.
