Russell Crowe — the Academy Award-winning star of cinema epics like A Beautiful Mind and Gladiator — was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.

The Australian-raised actor was honored with the 2,404th star on Hollywood Boulevard on the cloudy afternoon Hollywood dubbed Russell Crowe Day. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce held the ceremony under a tent to fend off the approaching rain.

Avatar’s Sam Worthington, Tonight Show host Jay Leno, director-producer Ron Howard, and Crowe’s wife Danielle and their sons Tennyson, 3, and Charles, 6, were on-hand for the ceremony.

“It was pouring rain this morning and Russell Crowe made one phone call. The sun has come out,” Leno cracked to the crowd.

Comedy fans won’t want to miss this week’s South Park: The legions of celebs who have been raked over the coals over the course of the show’s fourteen seasons — including Tom Cruise, Tiger Woods, and Kanye West — join forces to file a class action lawsuit against Kenny and the gang.

It’s all apart of South Park’s 200th episode, airing this Wed., April 14 @ 10 PM on Comedy Central.

Martha Stewart, The Kardashians, Oprah, Mel Gibson, and Britney Spears are among the 200 previously-ridiculed celebs with a bone to pick with the town of South Park. The only way this could get any funnier is if they have Gloria Allred representing the pissed-off celebs!

George Lopez is pulling out “The Welcome Wagon” for his new partner in late-night, Conan O’Brien.

On Monday, former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien announced that he is heading to TBS to host a flagship late-night show on the basic cable network, which is expected to air Mon.-Thurs. beginning in November. While most comedy fans were excited to hear about Conan’s move, many were concerned about where the one-hour 11 PM program would leave George, whose Lopez Tonight show also airs on the network.

In his opening monologue Monday, a gracious George notified fans that Lopez Tonight will move to midnight, but will remain on TBS. He also noted that he is happy to have the redhead funny guy join the network as his official lead-in.

Hey, that can’t be bad for ratings, right?

“If you haven’t heard by now, Conan O’Brien will be joining us on late night on TBS. Welcome! Welcome!” George said. “I want to say this, I want to say that I am completely 100% on board with this move,” he noted. “I talked to Conan on Wednesday and I talked to him last night and I said, ‘I welcome you into my deep loving embrace. Then I said, ‘Let’s take the party and make it bigger and take it into the next generation of late night TV. Lets do that! Lets do that! Lets do that!’”

“Everybody’s heard of ‘I’m With CoCo’ but now everybody can ‘Go LoCo,’” he laughed.

Mean Girls arrives on Nintendo’s handheld DS system later this month, but there’s an even bigger buzz brewing over one very glaring omission from the game’s cover art: actress Lindsay Lohan.

The 2004 teen comedy featured a group of mean-spirited high school princesses who set out to destroy Lohan’s Cady. The box art for the game features only the bitchy posse of teen terrors known as “The Plastics” (Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, and Lacey Chabert) — LiLo is nowhere to be seen. In the game, players will guide Cady on her quest to defeat “The Plastics” and become prom queen. Although Lohan’s character is the featured, the troubled starlet’s likeness will be absent from all promotional materials for Mean Girls for Nintendo DS, which goes on sale next week.

No reason has been given for the snub, but we’re willing to bet Lindsay’s alleged recent drug relapse has something to do with it.

After a not-so awful tango earned her a mini-breakthrough with judges on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars, Kate Gosselin is hitting the promo track in anticipation of the release of her new book, I Just Want You To Know, an eight chapter memoir of personal letters penned to each of the star’s eight children.

In a chat with TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Tuesday, Gosselin chatted about her latest book and dismissed her ex-husband’s claims that she has chosen fame over her family. The single mother argues that entertainment gigs, like her appearance on the ABC ballroom series and her forthcoming TLC reality docu-series — Twist of Kate, help her support the Gosselin brood.

Now that her headline-grabbing divorce and custody battle with ex-husband Jon have made Kate Gosselin a tabloid star, television’s original Octomom is itching to ditch her mundane life in suburban Pennsylvania for a new beginning in sunny California, celebrity tipsters dish.

Pals say Kate’s busy making plans to move her brood of eight across country once her stint on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars comes to a close.

“Now that Kate has tasted the excitement of Hollywood, there is no way that she is going to return to Pennsylvania,” a friend of Kate’s blabbed to PopEater’s “Naughty or Nice Column” this week. “She is looking at homes in the Hollywood Hills in gated communities in the $2 million range. Kate is insisting the properties she sees have a pool, at least six bedrooms, an outdoor hot tub and, bizarrely, a recording studio!”

And what’s life in Tinseltown without an agent! We hear Kate’s got her sights set on career in acting — which could pose a problem if her screen presence is anything like her ballroom dancing!

“Kate thinks that after Jennifer Aniston’s last few films didn’t do so well, America needs a new girl next door. And who better to fill Jen’s shoes than Kate!”

Last week, TLC announced that it had ordered a full season of Twist of Kate, a new network reality soap starring Gosselin.

Hugh Hefner is known for the harem of blonde stunners who take up residence with him at the world-famous Playboy Mansion, but the 84-year-old Playboy founder had some stern words for biker Jesse James, who has been accused of cheating on his wife Sandra Bullock with between five and seven other women.

“Sandra Bullock’s husband looks like a real creep. I think that when you are in a relationship, you should be honest,” the twice-divorced Hef told reporters as he celebrated his birthday in Las Vegas last weekend. “When you get married, you make a commitment. I had a lot of girlfriends, but it’s not the same as cheating. I don’t cheat. I am very open about what I do,” he explained.

Susan Boyle sure has come a long way from her roots as a spinster cat lady in the Scottish countryside: The dowdy powerhouse is eyeing a duet with pop diva Lady Gaga.

The eccentric Gaga became a fan after watching a clip of Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent audition online and counts herself as one of the star’s biggest supporters. Last year, the “Love Game” star revealed that she was a huge fan of the talent show sensation-turned-multiplatinum-sellling artist.

“I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent,” Gaga said at the time.

Now Gaga’s dreams of a single with Susan may see the inside of a recording studio: Susan is set to begin recording her second album later this year and she’s hoping to get Gaga on board for a track.

“Lady Gaga is a wonderful artist and completely original. I like her costumes and I’d love to do a duet with her.”

Like Double-Stuffed Oreos without a tall glass of milk or a bad day that doesn’t get better after a side-splitting episode of The Golden Girls, certain things should be illegal. Add porn parodies of good-natured TV musicals to that list.

FOX’s hit TV musical Glee is about to get a whole lot happier – the show has inspired a porn spinoff from the adult film aficionados at Hustler Video. X-rated lensman Axel Braun has cast a bevy of adult stars to appear in This Ain’t Glee XXX!

Mischa Barton was reportedly devastated after her ill-received Easter Sunday “Big Banana Jeans” made her the laughing stock of style blogs and the target of an online smear campaign by her former flame, oil heir (and Elvis doopelganger) Brandon Davis — but Davis has fired back, insisting he never poked fun at ex’s infamous pants or her recent weight gain.

And outraged “Greasy Bear” — who coined the phrase “Firecrotch” to the chagrin of actress Lindsay Lohan — claims he doesn’t even have a Twitter account and is emphatic that he never used the social networking service to hurt Mischa.

“Omg (oh my God). Just realised my ex turned in to 1 of the fattest people on the planet. I’m gonna start dating plus size models. Not! Mischa the Hefer (sic),” read a Tweet that hit cyberspace last Wednesday.

Brandon fumed to In Touch Weekly: “I would never say anything nasty about Mischa, especially about her weight. I am pissed that someone stole my identity and started Twittering things.”

Hey PopCrunchers, one of music’s favorite shaggy-haired rockers needs your good vibes. Former Poison frontman and Rock of Love star Bret Michaels underwent an emergency appendectomy this week after being rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pains early Monday.

Michaels was just about to take the stage in San Antonio on Sunday night when his appendix burst, his rep told PEOPLE. Doctors diagnosed the musician with acute appendicitis and rushed him into the operating room.

Fans can expect several of the star’s upcoming concerts to be rescheduled as Bret remains in recovery at a Texas hospital.

“Michaels, who has been known to perform under extreme conditions that would make most performers cancel, will unfortunately have no choice but to reschedule some of his April tour dates. A listing of all dates being rescheduled will be posted to his website in the coming days.”

The 47-year-old “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” star is a diabetic and has been hospitalized several times over the years due to complications of the disease.

Pamela Anderson’s going to have to do a lot more than work her rumpshaker on Dancing with the Stars to cover the massive debt she owes Uncle Sam: The former Baywatch babe reportedly owes $493,000 in personal income tax to the State of California, The Associated Press said this week.

Anderson is one of 250 individuals on an annual list of delinquent taxpayers released by the California Franchise Tax Board on Monday.

A tax lien was filed against the 42-year-old former sex symbol last April for the amount of $493,144, according to The AP.

The money woes just keeping on coming for the busty bombshell. Last fall, Pamela was also accused of skipping out on various bills related to the renovation of her Hollywood mansion.

Steven Seagal is being sued by a former employee who has accused the ’90s action star and Louisiana police officer of sexual assault and trafficking women for sex.

A former personal assistant has slapped Seagal with a $1-million lawsuit over claims that he hired her and then expected her to be “on call for sex.”

According to RadarOnline.com, Kayden Nguyen, 23, has sued the actor for sexual harassment, illegal trafficking of females for sex, failure to prevent sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and false representations about unemployment.

Nguyen was hired by Seagal as his executive assistant last year, but she claims she was forced into performing sexual acts on the 58-year-old from her very first day on the job.

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court this week, Kayden claims Seagal flew her to New Orleans in February. However, Nguyen said he treated her as “his sex toy.”

“Mr Seagal had been keeping two young female Russian ‘Attendants’ on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week….” court documents read.

Nguyen was hired when one of them decided to quit.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Gossip Girl hunk has pulled out of plans to play Ren McCormick — a big city teen who moves to a small town where dancing has been outlawed — in a remake of Kevin Bacon’s 1984 breakout hit.

Prior to casting Crawford, Zac Efron was set to play smooth movin’ McCormack. After garnering fame in High School Musical and Hairspray, he decided he simply wanted to step out of the realm of musicals to avoid the dread Hollywood typecast. Producers have not yet decided whether they’ll approach Efron again, begin casting another actor, or scrap plans for the remake.

There is one bit of good news: After numerous castings, the film has finally landed director.

Black Snake Moan’s Craig Brewer has been announced as the man for the job, Variety has learned. Brewer will adapt the rewritten script after impressing studio executives with his Oscar-winning musical drama, 2005’s Hustle And Flow.

Production is not yet underway on the new Footloose, which is set to open in theaters in June 2011. Former Dancing with the Stars champ is still on course to portray Ren’s love interest, Ariel.
