Lindsay Lohan’s father is going to be walking down the aisle with a woman almost a quarter century his junior and only a few years older than the famous daughter he’s desperately trying to “save:” the former flame of his ex-best friend reality dad Jon Gosselin.
Michael Lohan, 50, and ousted Star Magazine reporter Kate Major, 27, have announced their engagement and the couple is estatic about the marriage plans.
“I’ve never met anyone who’s been there for me like Kate. She’s always been there for me. The one thing about Kate is that she doesn’t come with baggage,” Michael exclaimed.
“Michael went down with me to Florida for Easter, to meet my father to ask for his permission, and my father gave his blessing,” says Major, the plain blonde who made headlines in 2009 after she fell in love with the then-married Gosselin while covering him for a story.
That’s all behind her now — Kate says’s she’s committed to building a life with the ex-con and father of four.

No reason has been given for the breakup, but it comes at an interesting time for the blonde bombshell: Jenny is currently penning a book on cheating and has launched a campaign to gather her fans’ Infidelity stories via her Twitter.

The youngest member of the Duggar Brood — micropremie Josie Brooklyn Duggar — was released from the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock on Tuesday.
Josie — the 19th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar — has been in the neo-natal unit since she was born on Dec. 10 after 25 weeks in utero. She weighed only 1 lb. 6 oz at birth. Today, Josie is a healthy 4 lbs. 9 oz. and eating every three hours. Her long journey home will be featured on a special episode of the family’s TLC docuseries, 19 Kids and Counting, airing Sunday, May 9 @ 8 PM.

The reality starring couple — who have spent the past several weeks seeped in divorce rumors — are hoping to put their Hollywood party planning skills to work on a new wedding -themed spinoff of their hit Oxygen docusoap, Home Sweet Hollywood.
Spelling announced news of the duo’s latest Oxygen show on her Twitter Tuesday, writing: “[Our] new pilot ‘Tori & Dean: Weddings.’ My [party] planning skills [and] Dean’s take it [to] the wall attitude, we plan UR DREAM wedding.”
The family posed perched atop a giant wedding cake during Oxygen Upfronts, where network producers formally announced news of the wedding show and promised more updates on the program in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, fans can check out the fifth season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, which airs Monday nights on The Oxygen Channel.
Oscar-winning screenwriter, director, producer Diablo Cody and her husband Jon Hunt are expecting their first child. Cody — whose real name is Brook Busey — is said to have quietly tied the knot with Hunt earlier this year.
The Juno writer, 31, spilled the baby news on Twitter Tuesday. “Thanks for the congrats on my fetus. No secrets here; just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed.” Cody wrote, staying mum on details of a possible due date.

Just one season after singing his way to stardom on American Idol, Adam Lambert is returning to the hit mentor the show’s new Top 8.
According to Entertainment Weekly, a representative for 19 Entertainment has confirmed that the former Idol star – who finished runner-up last season – will offer advice to the contestants on next Tuesday’s program. We’re still waiting to hear what the theme of next week’s show will be. After Lambert mentors the singers, he’ll return the following night to perform his current single “Whattaya Want From Me” on the April 14 Results Show.
Lambert — who has a new EP of remixed tracks hitting the web this week — confirmed the news on his Twitter account Tuesday, writing: “It’s true! In addition to performing on Idol April 14, I will be mentoring the Top 8 on the 13…..I feel honored to be asked.”
George Lucas, who directed the 1977 box office classic and the bevy of sequels that followed, and his Lucasfilm Animation are working with Robot Chicken creator Seth Green to develop a flippant sitcom that will explore the comic aspects of that “galaxy far, far away.”

Looks like the Ho Stroll just got a new anthem — courtesy of none of other than former Disney star Kiely Williams. The ex-3LW and Cheetah Girl member has been working on her solo debut album from some time now. Since many former child stars over 21 deem any affiliation with Disney the career equivalent of holding a giant “Loser Stick,” Kiely is obviously working overtime to shed the fresh-faced and kid-friendly image she earned for her role in the once-popular Cheetah Girls franchise.

MSNBC anchor David Shuster has been suspended from the network indefinitely after the journalist violated his contract by participating in a pilot for a new show headed to rival network CNN, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
“David has been suspended indefinitely,” an NBC spokesperson confirmed this morning.
Shuster has been a correspondent and anchor for MSNBC for eight years, and has covered such major events as Hurricane Katrina and Presidential campaigns. His contract with the network ends in December.
