Sarah Palin will make her debut as a conservative primetime talk host this week. Political insiders tell Mediate.com that the former Alaska Governor will host the first installment of her FOX News series Real American Stories this Thursday night.

The controversial, right-leaning FOX News hired Palin as a special correspondent for the network late last year.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate — who has managed to stay in the public eye thanks to a mirage of family drama, a best-selling book, and a new reality show on TLC — has reportedly lined up country star Toby Keith, rapper and actor LL Cool J, and former General Electric CEO Jack Welch as guests on the first program.

The show will air at 10 PM ET, in place of On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, and will re-air Sunday night @ 9 PM ET.

Emmy-winning talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres is a new “force” in the comic book world.

DeGeneres is being immortalized in ink in the latest issue of Bluewater Productions’ smash Female Force biographical comic book series.

The 38-page graphic novel — illustrated by Pedro Ponzo — follows the comedienne from her youth in rural Louisiana through her journey to working on the comedy club circuit all the way to her current role as a personable Emmy-winning daytime talk show host. The comic is also expected to tackle tougher issues, like Ellen’s life as an openly gay performer, an advocate for gay rights, and the cancellation of her hit ABC series that followed her public coming out in 1997.

“It is part of who she is and any telling of her story without acknowledging the importance she places on her identity would be disrespectful to her accomplishments,” says Sandra C. Ruckdeschel, who penned the book.

The newest American Idol judge is one of many influential women who’ve been featured in Bluewater series: others include Stephenie Meyer, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin, and Hillary Clinton. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the comic book will benefit Ellen’s favorite charity, The Humane Society of the United States.

Female Force: Ellen DeGeneres goes on sale for $3.99 this Wednesday.

The next reality show headed to FOX is a little bit Punk’d, a little bit My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance.

Did you love watching Ashton Kutcher pull fast ones on some of entertainment’s biggest names on the now-defunct MTV series Punk’d? Were you a fan of My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance, the FOX reality show where a girl pretended to marry a horrible slob in order to win cash — crushing her entire family in the process?

If so, you’ll be head over heels with My Parents Are Gonna Love You. In the show, participants will tell their folks about a wonderful new significant other who turns out to be an utterly obnoxious celebrity.

Kanye West, anyone?

The longer the “couple” can pull off the ruse, the more money they win for the parents, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.

“It’s big, noisy, fun and harmless,” says Jean Michel Michenaud, who executive produced series like Joe Millionaire, Temptation Island, and Obnoxious Fiance.

Hey Twi-Hards, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers will be releasing a new novella called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner on June 5.

The novella is told from the viewpoint of Bree, a newborn vampire featured in Eclipse, the third novel in Meyer’s wildly-successful teen vamp series, The Twilight Saga.

Meyer says the story was originally going to be included in The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, but ended up being too long to fit. The English-language version of the novella will be available to read online at www.breetanner.com from June 7 until July 5.

One dollar from the sale of each book (from the first printing of 1.5 million copies issued in the US) will be donated to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which supports disaster relief efforts such as those in earthquake-ravaged Haiti and Chile.

Cute Canadian Justin Bieber cuddles up to young actress Paige Hurd in the music video for his single “Never Let You Go,” released on Tuesday. The video — directed by Colin Tilley — was filmed at The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas earlier this year.

“Never Let You Go” is taken from Justin’s recently-released album, My World 2.0.

Perhaps not suprisingly, CBS had to do a bit of tweaking to the title of William Shatner’s upcoming fall comedy, $h!t My Dad Says, based on the popular Twitter handle of the same name.

The Twitter feed features 29-year-old Justin Halperin writing about the hilarious statements that come from the mouth of his flippant 74-year-old father, who he recently moved back in with. A pilot TV version of the page, starring Shatner, was picked up by the network late last year, but the small screen version will be slightly less obscene than the “$h!t” fans find on the Web.

According to The New York Times, the network using the following working title for the show: Bleep My Dad Says.

Yunjin Kim — best known for playing Sun Kwon on ABC’s Lost — tied the knot with her boyfriend and manager, Jeong Hyeok Park, in Hawai on Sunday, E! News has confirmed.

The pair met in 2002.

“Yes, it’s true. She did get married this weekend,” a rep for the 36-year-old actress told the site on Monday evening.

Kim had always planned to wed after the disaster-themed series wrapped its final season, but decided to take the plunge a bit early, according to sources.

Verizon subscribers rejoice! Apple may offer the iPhone to another US cellular provider soon. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the techie giant may be working on an iPhone designed especially for Verizon Wireless. For nearly three years, the popular device has been available exclusively on AT&T’s network

It is unclear when the Verizon model would be available.

Way to go, Franco! Smart guy actor James Franco has been accepted into Yale University’s esteemed English Ph.D. program, according the school’s student publication, The Yale Daily News.

James’ rep has confirmed that the actor was recently accepted into the Ivy League institution in Connecticut, and will begin studying for his doctorate in September if he accepts Yale’s offer for enrollment.

The star — whose screen credits include Spider-Man, Milk, Eat, Pray, Love, and most recently General Hospital — earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA, his MFA from Columbia, and has also studied filmmaking.

Here’s a surprise: Amy Winehouse has delayed the release of her long-awaited third album. The singing star wants time to ditch all the songs complaining about ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The award-winning singer, who is rumored to be back on with her junkie lover, wants to scrap some of the songs because they are “anti” Blake.

“Amy has written some of her best songs ever for this album but she now feels like they don’t belong,” a source told England’s Daily Star on Tuesday. “She’s not going to put out an album just because her record company wants her to, so it’s back to the drawing board.”

On a good note, bosses at Amy’s label are said to be thrilled with most of the tracks on the new album, which is the follow-up to 2006’s multiplatinum-selling Back To Black.

The trailer for the sixth and final season of MTV’s The Hills arrived on Tuesday — and boy is it no holds barred!

The show, which helped make Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and Lauren Conrad household names, chronicles the lives of a group of pals and frenemies in sunny Southern California. The Hills returns next month for the last 12 episodes of its six season run, and fans can look forward to a series of buzzworthy moments: including explosive reactions to Heidi’s massive plastic surgery, a new beginning for Brody Jenner, and a possible parting of the ways for reality TV’s Terrible Twosome — Speidi.

The final season of The Hills kicks off April 27 @ 10 PM on MTV.

Not sure we buy this sccop, but X17 Online tattles believe the three-year-old sex tape that shot Kim Kardashian to online infamy was also the driving force in the sex symbol socialite’s recent split from NFL star Reggie Bush.

Kim Kardashian was best known as the BFF of Paris Hilton and daughter of famed lawyer Robert Kardashian before her skin flick with crooner/VH1 star Ray-J Norwood hit the web in early 2007.

Insiders say the New Orleans Saints running back — who has been romantically-linked to at least three other women during his relationship with Kardashian — refused to marry the anxious-to-wed Kim because footage of her romp with Ray made his conservative mother uneasy.

“Reggie’s mom just could not get over the fact that Kim had a sex tape. Reggie and his family are very conservative, and he told Kim that a marriage is never going to happen between them because of the tape,” a source told X17 Online.

Although the buxom brunette has managed to build a successful reality series and a fashion and style empire based on the notoriety she gained from the video, Kim believes that she still would be with Reggie had the tape never been publicized.

“She’s still crazy about him. If she didn’t have the sex tape, she could have been Mrs. Bush….”

Milkaholic needs to get a grip. The photos have fueled new fears for the often-troubled star — and her father Michael is even planning to hold a press conference on Tuesday to discuss “Lindsay’s state of well-being and the direction he will take to help her through this life-threatening and difficult time.”

On Monday, comedian Lopez jokingly claimed Lohan uses baby powder to loosen her shoes. The seemingly- jovial remark ignited a fire within Lohan, who furiously Tweeted at George: “Thanks for the childish comment regarding baby powder in my shoes to loosen up the leather. Don’t you have kids? U wouldn’t wanna hear that about them, or would you? Act like a grown man, have some respect and dignity for yourself.”

Levi Johnston is dishing about his new reality show, as well as what he thinks of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, the upcoming travelogue series starring his former future mother-in-law Sarah Palin.

Johnston is hoping there is room for two Alaska-based reality shows on the small screen. The former fiance of Palin’s eldest daughter is shopping a new reality series titled Levi Johnston’s Last Frontier, which insiders describe as “sort of an ‘Entourage’ on ice.”

Coco’s tired of her enormous ass always getting all the attention! So Mrs. Ice-T has decided to shine some of the light on her enormous boobs instead. Gladiator star Russell Crowe will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next month.

The 2404th Walk of Fame star will be given to the New Zealand-born, Australia-raised actor at a ceremony outside the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on April 12. Crowe is a three-time Academy Award nominee, earning nods for The Insider, Gladiator, and A Beautiful Mind. The tough-talking star finally won a prize for the Roman epic.

The honor comes a month before the release of Russell’s latest movie, Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, which opens in May.
