  • “So You Think You Can Dance” New Rule: Only One Elimination Per Show

When So You Think You Can Dance returns for a new season on FOX this spring, there’ll be at least one major new rule in place that will change how contestants are eliminated.

Executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe took to his Twitter page Thursday to reveal that from now on just one dancer will be booted from the show every week, rather than the usual two. The previous format for the show saw one male and one female dancer being voted off each week.

No more, say Lythgoe, who wrote: “First rule change. Only one dancer will leave the competition each week and not two. Many more changes to come by the end of this week.”

So You Think You Can Dance Season 7 will premiere on FOX May 27.

  • Joaquin Phoenix PETA PSA

We think it’s safe to assume that Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix has turned his back on those outlandish aspirations to become the world’s next bearded rap star.

Clean-shaven and speaking coherently, the sometimes-unstable star has re-emerged from self-imposed exile to lend his famous face and voice to a new PSA for PETA. Exotic animals—including snakes, lizards, alligators, and crocodiles—are hunted or raised and killed for their skins all across U.S., Africa, and Asia. Joaquin is backing the animal rights group’s efforts to raise awareness of the cruelty behind the exotic-skins industry that produces thousands of designer belts, footwear, and handbags each year.

“Did you know that mother snakes keep their eggs warm by wrapping their bodies around the eggs and then shivering to generate heat?” narrator Phoenix says in the video short, which debued today on PETA.org. “Exotic animals are mostly unknown to us, and so is what they suffer before being turned into belts and bags.”

  • John Corbett Admits Aiden Shaw Is In “Sex And The City 2″

John Corbett’s acting skills were put to the test when the actor had to convince Sex And The City fans that he would not be reprising his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s furniture-making ex-fiance, Aiden Shaw in the upcoming Sex And The City sequel — despite pictures that seemed to suggest otherwise.

On Thursday’s Ellen, John finally spilled the beans: contrary to his previous comments, he does indeed return as Aiden in the eagerly-awaited chick flick, which opens in theaters this May.

John, who appeared on Ellen to promote Season 2 of Showtime’s United States of Tara, said he was under strict orders from SATC producers to shoot down all rumors that he wasn’t going to be in the film.

“These rumors started about seven months ago because somebody took a picture of me in Morocco and I felt really bad because for the last six months every time somebody said, ‘Are you in this movie?’ I had to lie about it,” he explained. “I just found out I’m going to be in the trailer so I get to break the news on your show that Aiden gets to come back to Sex and The City.”

  • Glenn Beck Drags Celine Dion Into Feud With James Cameron

After being branded an obnoxious “asshole” by director James Cameron during a live press conference this week, FOX News’ controversial court jester Glenn Beck fired off a rant about his feud with the Oscar-winning lensman on last night’s show.

“This guy is making a billion dollars on a Smurf-murdering movie and he’s stewing about a joke that nobody heard on a network nobody watched!” Beck yelled.

Beck mostly laughed off being cursed out by Cameron, but may have prompted Celine Dion to join in a war of words after remarking that it was her “awful” performance of the Titanic theme song that prompted him to joke that Cameron was “the anti-christ.”

“Horrific, really,” he added of Celine’s Oscar-winning song, “My Heart Will Go On.”

  • Donny Osmond Rips Lady Gaga “Telephone” VIDEO

The backlash continues over the latest video from raunchy pop princess Lady Gaga. Now parents and political pundits aren’t the only ones complaining. Singing stars Donny Osmond and India Arie have gone public with their displeasure over “Telephone,” Gaga’s nine minute mini-movie that kept the web abuzz for days after its premiere this month, thanks to its thong-wearing prison guards, Quentin Tarantino-esque imagery, and a mass murder scene spearheaded by Beyonce (Or should we say Honeybee?).

Click here to read India’s Tweets on the matter, but here’s a peek at what Donny — a father of five — has to say: “I’m all for freedom of speech and against any form of censorship, but all I know is that I’m a parent and I’m upset about this. I wouldn’t want my child to watch this video. Would you? What do you think? Should these two extremely gifted female role models for millions of young girls, maybe, have given a little more thought to the effect it might have on their core audience?”

The “Puppy Love” crooner — a vocal opponent of censorship — continued: “Unlike 20 years ago, in today’s modern, viral world in which content becomes instantaneously available irrespective of age, I wonder whether the music industry might need to rethink its marketing policies with regard to making an explicit music video containing profanity, sexual exploitation, nudity, and graphic violence available to anyone with Internet access….”

    Do you agree?

  • Movie Ticket Prices Rise 20 Percent Thanks To 3D Boom

Saturday Night at the Movies just got a bit more expensive: Right now, a ticket for a 3D movie cost about $10.50 — depending on where you live — but that’s about to change. Beginning this weekend, movie theaters across the country will raise the price of tickets, drawing on the success of 3D blockbusters like Avatar and Alice In Wonderland.

According to media analyst Richard Greenfield, the prices of 2D ticket will be up marginally, but 3D ticket pricing will go up as much 26 percent. With a summer full of 3D movies on the horizon, the box office is looking to cash in. Tickets for 3D movies could shoot as high as $15 per ticket, $17 for IMAX 3D showings. In some cities, like New York and Los Angeles, prices could reach $20.

  • Jesse James’ Mistresses: Brigitte Daguerre Is No. 3

Sandra Bullock’s husband didn’t just cheat on the Oscar-winning actress with tattooed temptresses Michelle McGee and Melissa Smith. The biker bedded a bevy of women by posting Internet ads looking for biker models, according to reports. The National Enquirer reported in its current issue that James may have slept with as many as 11 other women since being married to Bullock — and TMZ has the inside scoop on the latest harlot romantically-linked to this slimeball: Her name is Brigitte Daguerre.

Daguerre, a Los Angeles-based photographer, says Jesse hired her as a stylist for a photoshoot at his West Coast Choppers shop in Long Beach back in 2008. Naturally, the pair began sleeping together not long after. Unbeknownst to Sandra, the affair lasted a year before Jesse broke things off — but not before flooding his sideline ho with more than 195 filthy sex texts.

“I’ll be your monkey” was one of the tamest.

Luckily for Mrs. O, she’ll be too far away for the audience to slime……

Did you hear what Mila Kunis said about Jason Segel?

The former star of That ’70s Show is sounding off on the actor’s private parts – although we’re not sure how well that will go over with her boyfriend Macaulay Culkin.

Mila says she was very impressed with Segel’s peen — which she saw during a nude scene the two shot when they co-starred together in the 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

“Look, I want it on the record, OK?” Kunis says in a raunchy interview with the April issue of GQ. “It’s a nice dick. Well proportioned. Handsome. I have nothing but good things to say about Jason Segel’s penis.”

  • KC And The Sunshine Band Co-Founder Richard Finch Arrested For Raping Teen Boys

Police in Ohio say a co-founder of ’70s hitmakers KC and The Sunshine Band has admitted to having sex with teenage boys.

Finch, a music producer and former bassist for the group responsible for disco hits such as “Shake Your Booty” and “Keep It Comin’ Love,” was arrested Tuesday after a boy told authorities he’d had sexual contact with him at Finch’s home in Newark, the Licking County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Cops claim Finch admitted he’d had sex with that boy and others ranging in age from 13 to 17. The musician was promptly arrested and is being held on $250,000 bond.

A message posted on Finch’s website Wednesday branded the sex abuse allegations baseless.

“We will let due process happen through the legal system and through that, we are sure Mr. Finch will be vindicated from these unfounded allegations.”

  • Octomom PETA Ad Deal Could Help Save Nadya Suleman’s Home From Foreclosure

Despite Nadya Suleman’s insistence that her La Habra home is not at risk of foreclosure, the kooky woman dubbed “Octomom” has accepted an offer to use her lawn to promote responsible pet ownership in exchange for cash and food, her lawyer tells CNN.com.

People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals has cut a deal to “bolster Suleman’s finances” in exchange for the right to place the above ad outside the La Habra home she’s thisclose to losing.

The ad reads: “Don’t let your dog or cat become an ‘Octomom.’ Always spay or neuter.”

The unemployed Suleman famously earned the moniker “Octomom” after giving birth to the world’s longest-surviving group of octuplets in Jan. 2009. The tots brought her entire brood to 14, as she was already raising six children alone when she underwent fertility treatments and conceived again. Suleman’s story makes her front yard a sought after location for such a PETA ad.

“Massive media attention is aimed at covering Octomom’s every move, and it’s time to put that attention to good use. After all, Americans need to know that millions of dogs and cats end up in animal shelters every year, and half of them are euthanized simply because there aren’t enough good homes….”

PETA says it offered Suleman $5,000 and a month’s supply of veggie burgers and hot dogs in exchange for placing the sign on her lawn. Suleman’s lawyer, Jeff Czech, said his client has accepted the offer, although he is negotiating to refinance a $450,000 balloon payment on her home that was due two weeks ago.
