Corey Haim was laid to rest in his hometown of Toronto today.

Several hundred close friends and family members remembered the ’80s icon as a “good soul and a fun-loving guy” as they packed into the Steeles Memorial Chapel in Thornhill, Ontario Tuesday. Haim’s longtime friend and frequent co-star Corey Feldman did not attend the funeral, choosing to remain in Los Angeles in bid to grant the family’s wish for privacy.

Fan Jennifer Matton drove eight hours from Philadelphia to Corey’s hometown of Toronto to show her support.

“I think I’m his number one fan. I’ve loved him since I was 13. I’ve never done anything like this before, but when I found out he died, I was very sad.”

The 38-year-old was found dead last week in the Los Angeles apartment he shared with his mother. He had been suffering from flu-like symptoms. A coroner’s report has yet to be released and will determine if prescription drugs played any role in his death.

A promoter behind Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball World Tour has blamed fatigue and dehydration for the star’s lackluster performance and near collapse during a show in New Zealand last Saturday night.

Fans of outlandish songstress were left fearing for her health after it appeared she nearly passed out during her gig at Auckland’s Vector Arena last weekend. Footage from the concert showed her struggling through a performance of “Bad Romance,” dazed and unsteady. The star removed her headgear and stretched flat ot across the stage for most of the song.

A promoter behind her Monster Ball tour has now put Gaga’s worrying antics down to tiredness and the searing heat in the Vector Arena, insisting the singer will be fully fit for upcoming concerts in Australia.

Michael Coppel, a promoter behind Gaga’s sold-out tour, has blamed fatigue, heat, and dehydration for the lethargic show, and insist the “Poker Face” star will be ready for her next round of shows in Australia.

“(Lady Gaga is) totally fine. It was warm at the show, she was tired and (a) bit dehydrated by the end of a two-hour plus performance. She performed the second Auckland show the following night without an issue and will be back in full match fitness for her first Australian show.”

In January, Gaga cancelled a series of concerts in the US after suffering exhaustion.

The mother of Oscar-nominated Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe wants a spot on the next season of America’s Got Talent.

Ryan Phillippe has confirmed reports that he is the latest actor throwing his hat into the ring to play high-flying action hero Captain America in Marvel’s Summer 2011 box office blockbuster.

In an interview with MTV News on Monday, the newly-single Cruel Intentions star confirmed that he’s set up an audition for the superhero movie. But Ryan will have some stiff competition for the role of Steve Rogers; Brothers star Patrick Flueger, Cloverfield’s Mike Vogel, G.I. Joe’s Channing Tatum, and Smallville actor Michael Cassidy are among the hopefuls trying out for the action adventure.

Mickey Rourke has dropped out of an upcoming remake of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1982 action classic Conan The Barbarian.

The Oscar-nominated Wrestler actor had signed up to play Conan’s father alongside former Baywatch star Jason Momoa, who was cast in the title role earlier this year. However, Rourke has since dropped out of the production, and will be replaced by Hellboy star Ron Perlman, according to Moviehole.net.

No reason has been given for his departure. Conan The Barbarian is still slated for release next year.

Paula Abdul is remaining tight-lipped on rumors that she’s lined-up her next TV talent show gig.

Paula has been tapped to headline ABC’s reboot of the hit TV series Star Search, Entertainment Weekly reported Monday. The star had been long-rumored to be in talks with the network after a departure from American Idol that saw her replaced with comedian Ellen DeGeneres last summer.

For her part, however, Paula has refused to confirm or deny the Star Search rumors.

The ex-Idol judge Tweeted Tuesday: “Once again, until you hear it from me, you can’t believe what you read 😉 Lots of love! Paul…”

GQ Magazine is firing back at claims made by Rielle Hunter, the mistress of former presidential candidate John Edwards. Hunter — who sat down for a tell-all chat with the mag that was released on Monday — says she is “repulsed” by the photos the publication ran with the story.

According to The View’s Barbara Walters, Rielle spoke with her on Monday morning and said she “cried for two hours” after seeing the photos of her in a collared shirt and no pants -– shot by famed photographer Mark Seliger.

GQ, however, insists Rielle was kept in the loop about all of their plans regarding her interview, and is only complaining about the pictures now because of public backlash.

“Did she say she thought they would be headshots?” GQ reporter Lisa DePaulo said in defense of the publication on Good Morning America Tuesday. “Rielle is a smart woman. She knows what she wore and what she was doing in the photoshoot.”

The Fat Actress star stopped by the morning gabfest to chat up her new A&E reality series, Big Life, when she blew a gasket over a TODAY segment that suggested her new diet program is connected to the Church of Scientology — of which Kirstie is a devoted member.

“That’s bullshit,” Kirstie told co-anchor Meredith Vieira, who had to remind the mother of two that TODAY is a family program.

Kirstie spent the next nine minutes sprouting off about the media scrutiny she receives because of her ballooning frame and defending her line of weight-loss products — Organic Liaison — which the star denies are linked to Scientology.

A fuming Kirstie hit her Twitter to blast TODAY after the interview: “Just experienced the meaning of BLINDSIDED…..delivered with a smile…. Shame on you Today Show…Shame on you.”

On Tuesday, Sony Pictures released thhe first look at Justin Timberlake and ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz as lovers in the upcoming comedy Bad Teacher.

The Jake Kasdan-directed comedy sees Diaz as a foul-mouthed, gold-digging middle school teacher who gets dumped by her boyfriend. She then develops a crush on school’s model substitute teacher (Timberlake), but runs into some competition for his affection. Jason Segel suits up as a gym teacher.

Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber is headlining his first tour of North America, featuring “Beautiful Girls” crooner Sean Kingston.

On Tuesday, Bieber announced dates for the first leg of the eagerly-anticipated tour. The “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner is set to kick things off in Hartford, Connecticut on June 23, before wrapping up on September 4 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Tickets for most shows go on sale March 27.

Tiger Woods will return to golf at next month’s Masters.

In a statement Tuesday, Woods said he will play at Augusta National after going on a four-month hiatus in the middle of a far-reaching sex scandal. This will be the first time Woods will compete in a golf tournament since a fender bender over Thanksgiving weekend set off a chain of events that led to the outing of more than a dozen mistresses.

“The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect,” Woods said in a statement.“After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta. The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it’s been a while since I last played.”

The Masters begins April 8.

Anne Hathaway is shopping for a new dog.

The Oscar-nomianted actress – who is already mom to a beloved two-year-old chocolate Labrador, Esmeralda – accompanied boyfriend Adam Schulman to Molly’s Mutts and Meows volunteer animal rescue center in West Hollywood on Saturday, where the couple checked out several pooches in need of forever homes.

Adam and Anne were particularly taken with a medium-sized mutt named Chuck.

“She said she had one dog and was looking to adopt a second one. Most of the conversation was about Chuck, and whether he’s good with other dogs, house-trained, mellow, things like that,” a tipster told PEOPLE.

The 27-year-old star – who has been dating Adam since November 2008 – took down information regarding the purchase of Chuck before leaving,

Iron Mike Tyson is getting ready to make his debut as a reality TV star — and as usual here comes PETA to rain on the parade.

Tyson, a lifelong pigeon keeper, will star in a series about bird racing premiering on Animal Planet early next year, and the outspoken animal rights advocates are protesting the show’s exploitation of the birds.

Oh brother…..

The show, to be called Taking on Tyson, pits Tyson and his birds against the best racing-pigeon owners in New York. The former boxer who spent time in jail or rape in the early 90s still owns several hundred birds. For the show, Tyson turned his birds over to a cigar-smoking pigeon trainer, Vinnie Torre, who is getting them ready for the competition.

Even though Taking on Tyson doesn’t debut until 2011, the folks at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are already complaining.

“One wonders whether Mike Tyson — as a self-appointed ambassador of and ‘rookie’ to pigeon racing — realizes that just as losing racehorses end up in the glue factory, these gentle, loyal birds who race their hearts out in order to get home to their life mates often become lost in storms or have their necks wrung for failing to beat their competitors’ time,” the animal rights organization’s president, Ingrid Newkirk told PopEater.com on Monday.

The show begins shooting next month in Brooklyn.
