    Quote of the Week

&quot Behold this compost! behold it well!
Perhaps every mite has once form’d part of a sick person-Yet behold!
The grass of spring covers the prairies,
The bean bursts noislessly through the mould in the garden,
The delicate spear of the onion pierces upward,
The apple-buds cluster together on the apple-branches,
The resurrection of the wheat appears with pale visage out of its graves,
The tinge awakes over the willow-tree and the mulberry-tree,
The he-birds carol mornings and evenings, while the she-birds sit on their nests,
The young of poultry break through the hatch’d eggs,
The new-born of animals appear-the calf is dropt from the cow, the colt from the mare,
Out of its little hill faithfully rise the potato’s dark green leaves,
Out of its hill rises the yellow maize-stalk-the lilacs bloom in the door-yards,
The summer growth is innocent and disdainful above all those strata of sour dead.&quot

-Walt Whitman, from the poem &quot This Compost&quot

OCA Needs Your Help to Spread the Organic Revolution

OCA and our international network of organic consumers and farmers understand that we have a positive life-affirming solution for the global food, health, and climate crisis: organic food, farming, and ranching. But to get out our all-important message we need your support. Please send us a tax-deductible donation today.

Take Action: Rescue Local/Organic Farming from One-Size-Fits-All Food Safety Bill!

The U.S. Senate is expected to vote on a sweeping overhaul of the food safety laws very soon – possibly as early as next week. While the bill seeks to improve food safety, as it is currently written, S. 510 will actually make our food less safe. S. 510 will strengthen the forces that have led to the consolidation of our food supply in the hands of a few industrial food producers, while harming small producers who give consumers the choice to buy fresh, healthy, local foods.

Please contact your Senators NOW to urge them to amend or oppose the bill!

Congress needs to solve the real problems – chemical-intensive agriculture, factory farms, industrialized and centralized food production and distribution, and often tainted imported foods – and not regulate organic and small farms out of business. S. 510 is a &quot one-size-fits-all&quot approach that will unnecessarily burden both farmers and small-scale food processors, ultimately depriving consumers of the choice to buy from producers they know and trust.

Take Action: Don’t Let USDA Okay 4-Month Factory Farm Confinement for &quot Organic&quot Beef

The USDA wants to know what organic consumers think about &quot finishing&quot or fattening up organic beef cattle for four months in factory farm-style feedlots.

Studies show that cattle confined and fed grain in feedlots are prone to E. coli 0157 contamination, whereas healthy organic cattle grazing on grass are typically free of this dangerous pathogen. The meat from grass-fed beef is also healthier and more nutritious than beef that’s been &quot marbleized&quot in the feedlot.

Take Action: Tell President Obama and the USDA National Organic Program that you don’t want organic beef cattle to be kept in factory-farm-style feedlots for the last four months of their lives.

    Take Action: Hug a Farmer!

April 17, La Via Campesina Call to Action

To commemorate the International Day of Peasant Struggle on April 17th 2010, the international peasant movement La Via Campesina calls upon member organizations, allies and supporters to unite against global agribusiness corporations, which seek complete control over food and agriculture systems around the world. Small and family scale farmers form the backbone of the global food supply and are essential for transitioning to a healthy and organic food system.

On April 17th 1996, nineteen landless Brazilian peasants who were defending their right to produce food by demanding access to land were massacred by the military police. Since the massacre at El Dorado dos Caraj&aacute s, every year on this date actions are organized around the world by farmers’ organizations, communities, student groups, non-governmental organizations and activists, in order to demand food sovereignty and peasants’ rights to produce food.

Join Via Campesina and the Organic Consumers Association in the global struggle against multinational corporations, like Monsanto, that are threatening our food supply and undermining farmers across the globe. Visit OCA’s Millions Against Monsanto campaign center for more information.

Essay of the Week: &quot Is This Factory Farming’s Tobacco Moment?&quot by Will Allen and Ronnie Cummins

The nation’s chemical and energy-intensive food and farming system, Food Inc., is out of control, posing a mortal threat to public health, the environment, and climate stability.

Economically stressed and distracted consumers have become dependent on a factory farm system designed to provide cheap processed food that may be cosmetically perfect and easily shipped, but which is seriously degraded in terms of purity and nutritional value.

Video of the Week: OCA Exposes ‘Organic Cheaters’

This year at the Expo West Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California, the OCA staged a very visible public protest to expose what it calls &quot sham poo&quot products that are &quot organic cheaters.&quot

A Diabetic Success – No Side Effects and the Diabetic Pack is Working

    Hello Viewers,

Customers taking our WSN Diabetic Pack are improving their blood sugar levels, noticing their energy increasing, having improved sleep and they are losing weight.

Here is what some of our customers have to say about using the WSN Diabetic Pack:

    ************************************

&quot I was on the internet a lot doing research hoping I could find some help. What I found was really great. I have been taking the Diabetic Pack now for a month.

&quot I have been type 2 diabetic for about 10 years. I have been taking Metformin 500 mg all this time with a lot of problems. I was taking 4-5 pills a day, but it would not keep my sugar level normal. In the morning it would be way up. I tried other herbs and vitamins, nothing helped. I was watching what I eat. I tried other drugs from the Doctor with no help, only more side effects from these new pills.

&quot I was taking the Diabetic Pack with my drugs and I started to see a difference in my sugar, in the morning it was staying normal. I cut back on my drugs because they were making my sugar go too low. Then my sugar started to level out. I then quit my drugs all together and my sugar is staying normal for the first time in years.

&quot The one big thing, no side effects and it is working.&quot

    RJ Woodward in Florida

    ************************************

&quot It all started when I was told that I had diabetes in 1999. I was shocked!

&quot Medical doctors were saying that there was no cure! I figured out that diabetes was nothing more than a disease of bad nutrition!

&quot I have only been on the WSN Diabetic Pack product for about a month and I can safely say that I have been off the drugs and my blood pressure and blood sugar are gradually getting better.

&quot My blood pressure used to be about 150/75 now it sits about 130/80, with no drugs! My morning blood sugar is gradually coming down as my body gets used to the change in my diet. I am getting better at what I should and should not eat to get my sugars down. It is a slow process but it is working! Thanks to the Wellness Support Network.&quot

    Jonn Kiernan in Canada

    ************************************

&quot I want to tell you how the Diabetic Pack is working for me.

&quot I have lost an additional 10 pounds in two months since beginning the Diabetic Pack. This has helped me drop the additional weight without even trying!

&quot My friends ask me regularly what I am doing. Of course, I tell them about the foods that I am eating. But I also tell them about how the Diabetic Pack has helped me not only lose the last of the weight, but it has also helped me to feel better overall since I no longer have the constant extreme drops in my blood sugar levels throughout the day.

&quot I am 44 years old, but often feel like I am a teenager again. I look better and feel better, and I most definitely feel better about myself.&quot

  • A Neuropathy Success – My Doctors Tell Me to Keep Taking the Nerve Support Formula

A Neuropathy Success – My Doctors Tell Me to Keep Taking the Nerve Support Formula.

    Hello Viewers,

Habit forming pain-killer drugs or anti-depression drugs do nothing to address the neuropathy condition itself. Now there is true help for people who have neuropathy.

The WSN Nerve Support Formula can help you to actually reverse your neuropathy. Here is what some of our diabetic and non-diabetic customers have to say about using it:

    *******************************

&quot My feet and legs were swelling so bad. They are still swelling some but not like they were. And the tingling and pain aren’t there anymore. I am feeling better. This is my 10th day on the Nerve Support Formula and this is the third day I have been taking three capsules twice a day.

&quot I am very pleased with the way I’m feeling.

&quot My doctor told me Monday that he doesn’t think it is diabetes that caused my neuropathy. He thinks it is something else. And after looking up all the medications I am taking on the internet, I’m sure it is the side effects from them.

&quot But it is better and I’m hoping it will still keep getting better. I’m excited about it and I have already told several people about it.

    &quot Thank you!&quot

    From Bonnie Barr in Kansas

    *******************************

&quot I wanted to write today to tell you how much I appreciate your Nerve Support Formula. I suffered for nearly two years with extremely painful, neuropathy.

&quot My physicians offered Lyrica and Cymbalta to help with the pain, but they did nothing – nothing except give me horrific side effects! The Lyrica experiment was a disaster and getting off of it was the worst part. I felt like I was detoxing off heroine or something.

&quot Within hours of taking the first capsules, I noticed some tingling or odd sensations in my legs, but after a few days that subsided. After a followup from Wellness Support Network, I upped how much I was taking to 12 capsules a day.

&quot THIS was the turning point for me. I simply needed to be taking more! Once I was taking 12 a day, I began to feel the tingling of healing on a regular basis and slowly over the next 2 to 4 weeks, I began to feel MUCH, MUCH better!

&quot It’s now been about 12 months since I started on the Nerve Support Formula and I am a completely different person. It is the heart of the winter again and I am able to manage the pain on only 5 capsules a day.

&quot I have shared the great news about the Nerve Support Formula with all my doctors and they all give it their blessing and tell me to keep taking it. One of my neurologists I used to see at the University of Chicago, took the time to research the methlycobalamin (B12) and wrote to me that he found evidence that it protects the nerves from neurotoxins.

&quot Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for such a wonderful product! It has truly given me my life back.

    &quot THANK YOU!&quot

    From Laura LaLone in Indiana

    *******************************

&quot I am taking WSN Nerve Support Formula as instructed and I have hardly any tingling and almost no pain. I seem to have more energy. My blood sugar numbers are also great now. I told a friend about your product and he is now using it and doing well. Thank you very much for all that you have done!&quot

    Quote of the Week

&quot To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places (and there are so many) where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction. And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.&quot

-Howard Zinn, patriot, historian, and author

Victories of the Week: OCA’s Coming Clean Campaign for Organic Integrity in the Health and Beauty Aisle

Whole Foods Takes a Stand Against Faux Organic Claims on Body Care

Whole Foods Market is making its suppliers aware of its &quot Position on ‘Organic’ Personal Care Products.&quot In the statement, WFM promises &quot to continue to closely examine all organic label claims to ensure that they are not misleading, and we will strongly encourage our suppliers who are making organic claims to pursue NOP certification. WFM explains:

&quot Products making an &quot Organic&quot product claim (e.g. Organic Shampoo,&quot &quot Organic Body Wash.&quot ) should be certified to the USDA NOP standard. …

&quot Products making &quot Made with Organic ______&quot claims should be certified to the USDA NOP standard, which is the best possible certification for &quot Made with&quot label claims.

&quot Products making &quot Contains Organic _______&quot claims should be certified to the NSF Organic Personal Care standard.

&quot Any ‘Organic’ claim on the front of the label should be substantiated by certification to one of the above standards, including the use of the word ‘organic’ in the brand name. Products not certified to one of these standards may only use the word &quot organic&quot in the ingredients listing. We are currently working with our suppliers to transition their label claims to the above standards. Because these changes will be pervasive and complicated, we have not yet determined a timeline, but expect to do so in the near future.&quot

FDA Warns Companies to Certify Organic Claims on Cosmetics to USDA Standards

On March 8, 2010, the FDA issued a QandA about organic cosmetics. It warns companies that make organic claims to follow the USDA organic regulations.

&quot Cosmetic products labeled with organic claims must comply with both USDA regulations for the organic claim and FDA regulations for labeling and safety requirements for cosmetics.&quot

JASON Drops False &quot Pure, Natural and Organic&quot Claim, Kiss My Face No Longer &quot Obsessively Organic&quot

While stores and online retailers are still selling products under the old labels, two targets of the Organic Consumers Association’s Coming Clean campaign for organic integrity in personal care have chosen to drop their use of the word &quot organic&quot in the tag lines of products that aren’t certified to USDA standards.

JASON, which carried the tag line &quot Pure, Natural and Organic,&quot will now be advertised as &quot Everyday Natural Care.&quot Kiss My Face has dropped its &quot Obsessively Organic&quot product line.

So are JASON and Kiss My Face allies in the cause to stop false organic claims? Not quite.

The news about JASON came in a press release by its parent company Hain Celestial. The release announced Hain’s &quot strong support&quot for the National Organic Standards Board recommendation of November 5, 2009, &quot Solving the Problem of Mislabeled Organic Personal Care Products.&quot However, the same release stated that there would be no change in the marketing or formulations of Avalon Organics products, also owned by Hain.

Organic Consumers Association learned about the changes at Kiss My Face at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in New York City last week. After a marketing presentation by Kiss My Face co-owner/founder Bob MacLeod who described how he and his partner market their organic values through their products, OCA Political Director Alexis Baden- Mayer stood up to ask, &quot You lead an &quot obsessively organic&quot lifestyle, but your Obsessively Organic product line isn’t certified and doesn’t meet USDA organic standards. How do you justify this to consumers?&quot

MacLeod at first said there was no &quot Obsessively Organic&quot product line at Kiss My Face and then corrected himself to admit that it was stopped two years ago, but might still be available from some retailers.

Unfortunately, a quick look at the Kiss My Face Web store reveals that the company is still putting organic marketing claims above certification and integrity. The sponsored link to the Web store announces, &quot Official Online Store. Full Line of Organic Personal Care Products!&quot A search for &quot organic&quot on the site turns up &quot organic&quot lipsticks, moisturizers, and hair care products that contain certified organic ingredients, but are not certified to USDA standards because they don’t have enough organic ingredients and contain non-organic and synthetic ingredients that are prohibited in organic.

Take Action: Tell Hain Celestial and Kiss My Face to Come Clean

Hain Celestial and Kiss My Face, two companies that have been defrauding consumers by offering &quot organic&quot health and beauty products that don’t meet USDA standards, are beginning to clean up their act.

Let’s give them a little encouragement:

Thank HC for dropping JASON’s &quot Pure, Natural and Organic&quot tag line, then ask them to give their Avalon Organics brand a makeover with new formulations that could actually be certified organic:

Thank Kiss My Face for losing their &quot Obsessively Organic&quot product line, and suggest that they reformulate the products that they advertise as organic so that they can be certified to USDA standards:

The City of San Francisco in the Bay Area where she lives has been deceptively giving away toxic sludge to gardeners and farmers, calling this hazardous material &quot organic biosolids compost.&quot We want Alice, as the founder of the famous Chez Panisse Restaurant, to add her powerful voice to the fight to stop using gardens and farms as dumps for toxic sewage sludge.

It is especially important because the Executive Director of Alice Water’s Chez Panisse Foundation is Francesca Vietor, who is also the Vice President of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, the agency that has been giving away tons of toxic sludge and deceiving recipients.

The Chez Panisse Foundation promotes Edible Schoolyard’s organic gardens. Obviously its Executive Director, who was appointed to the PUC in 2008 by the Mayor of San Francisco, is conflicted on this issue. She is working for both Alice Waters’ Foundation and for the Public Utilities Commission and the Mayor. Mayor Newsom calls the sewage sludge &quot very healthy and safe.&quot

Neither Alice Waters nor her foundation have ever made a public statement flatly opposing the growing of any food in toxic sewage sludge.

Join us in asking Alice Waters to publicly oppose growing food in toxic sewage sludge.

USDA Certified Organic Household Cleaners are Finally Here! Greenology Products Has Made History

The word &quot natural&quot continues to remain undefined and is often confusing to consumers. Many manufacturers push the boundaries of what is truly considered natural. Because of this, Greenology Products spent 18 months developing a line of organic All-Purpose, Bathroom, Glass and Kitchen Cleaners that met NOP (National Organic Program) requirements and are certified by the USDA. We have recently won approval for the worlds first and only certified organic Laundry Detergent as well. It wasn’t easy, but we were on a mission to change the way cleaning products are produced and used by families and businesses. Wanting to significantly raise the standards bar in cleaning was easy motivation for us because so much evidence points to chemical related health symptoms and poor indoor air quality at home, school and work.

As for performance, our Glass cleaner was given a &quot BEST&quot rating by the NY Times in a May 14th, 2009 review against 19 other national brand Glass cleaners. Not only are we certified organic, but the product works extremely well and is competitively priced against the national brands. It’s a win for consumers and families.

    Hello Viewers,

This party food is simple to prepare. It can be made with your favorite bean spread and fresh vegetables, and kids just love them. Take a whole wrap as a to-go lunch&mdash it’s filling and loaded with cancer-fighting fiber and many health-promoting nutrients.

    Directions

1 cup low-fat hummus or bean spread
    8 whole wheat tortillas
    4 carrots, grated
8 lettuce leaves, 1 cup baby spinach, or 5 ounces alfalfa or bean sprouts

Variation: Add thin sticks of cucumber or red bell pepper before rolling. Squeeze a dash of lemon juice into the wrap to add a tangy flavor.

Spread the hummus thinly on the tortillas. Add the carrots and lettuce. Roll up each tortilla. If you want bite-size pieces, secure with five evenly placed toothpicks and slice into five individual rolls per tortilla.

Serve Veggies in a Blanket immediately or cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for several hours. Prior to serving, bring the rolls to room temperature for the best flavor. Do not store the rolls longer than one day, as the tortillas and lettuce will become soggy.

    Teaching Youth Food for Life

The best way to prevent cancer and other obesity-related diseases is to start establishing good habits early in life. Soon, The Cancer Project will begin its pilot cooking and nutrition program for youth starting with a Washington, D.C., charter school, Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP). KIPP is a network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools throughout the United States, with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. The Cancer Project hopes that the knowledge shared with the nearly 40 ninth grade students at KIPP will help them make the best possible food choices to support their health and success in life. • A Diabetic Success – This Morning My Reading Was 114

A Diabetic Success – This Morning My Reading Was 114

    Hello Viewers,

I have a few more success stories to share with you.

People taking our WSN Diabetic Pack are improving their blood sugar levels, noticing their energy increasing, having improved sleep and they are losing weight.

Here is what some of our customers say about using the WSN Diabetic Pack:

    ************************************

&quot Been almost a week since I started the nutrients. I worked out hard yesterday and I’m still following the low carb diet. My weight is stabilizing as I find more good things to eat. My blood sugar number this morning was 98, the first time in a long time it’s been in the normal range. This really gives me hope on this program. I will continue to research low carb foods that I like and put together a life long answer.

&quot I want to report further that my morning number was right at 106 every day for the last week, as I have been taking the supplements for two weeks now. I will be a strong supporter of your Diabetic Pack over time. Thanks.&quot

    From Randell Addis in Washington

    ************************************

&quot It’s been thirty days since I received the WSN Diabetic Pack. Wow, I have already written you after taking the product for two weeks with my results, readings from the mid 200’s dropping to the 160’s. Its been 30 days now and this morning my reading was 114 and I am so thankful. I have stuck to the low carb diet and am walking at least one mile a day and my weight has gone from 189 to 174.

&quot If you have diabetes there is help, and my results prove it. You must realize that only you can take charge of your health. Wellness Support Network has the product but you have to add the action.

&quot I realize that the eating and exercise is my part and Wellness Support Network’s part is to manufacture the Diabetic Pack that supports my effort. I have also had personal support through phone calls and emails from your company.

&quot Thank you and please be aware I came to you desperate and full of doubt. I have dropped the doubt and the desperation has evaporated. I am now full of hope and genuine appreciation for your efforts and your support.

&quot Once again, much thanks and appreciation.&quot

    From Larry Souders in Nebraska

    ************************************

&quot I am writing this to let anyone who has had difficulty in keeping their diabetes under control to look no further. This product truly worked for me. I was given three months while on my medication to bring it under control.

&quot I looked on-line and ordered the WSN Diabetic Pack. I did not take the additional meds prescribed. Instead I gave your product a try.

&quot When I woke up I took my blood sugar reading and was amazed to see it at 99-100 in the morning. When I used to have 199 or higher. When I went for my blood work the doctor was amazed at my results. My A1c used to be 9.8, it read 6.0. I want to thank you for this wonderful product and your encouragement.&quot

    Quote of the Week

&quot The future belongs to those who understand that doing more with less is compassionate, prosperous, and enduring, and thus more intelligent, even competitive.&quot

Paul Hawken, Author of Natural Capitalism and the Ecology of Commerce

Urge USDA to Act on New Report on the Integrity of the National Organic Program

    From the Cornucopia Institute:

After an extensive audit and investigation of alleged improprieties at the USDA’s National Organic Program, the federal Office of Inspector General (OIG) made public their formal report, dated March 9, echoing criticisms made by the OCA and our allies – that under the Bush administration, the USDA did an inadequate job of enforcing federal organic law.

Since 2002, when the USDA adopted the federal organic regulations, the agency has been plagued by inadequate funding as well as a cozy relationship with large corporations that dominate organic sectors such as dairy and body care.

Tell Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to Remove Himself from Supreme Court GMO Sugar Beet Case

J.E.M. Ag Supply v. Pioneer Hi-Bred, 534 U.S. 124 (2001) granted large biotech corporations like Monsanto extensive patent protection over genetically modified seeds. This case was authored by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former General Counsel for Monsanto.

In Monsanto v. Geertson Seed Farms, No. 09-475, the U.S. Supreme Court will review an appellate court decision ruling that the USDA illegally approved Monsanto’s GM sugar beets without determining whether organic farmers, consumers or the environment would be adversely effected.

Justice Thomas has an obvious conflict of interest and should recuse himself, but he has decided to reserve his power to rule on the GM sugar beet case.

Corporate Crime Reporter: OCA Exposes Intimidation Tactics of the ‘Organic Mafia:’ Whole Foods Market and UNFI

The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) carries a big public interest stick. It can mobilize the 850,000 people in its network to pressure corporations and governments. The goal: clean, safe, organic foods and products for America. One way that OCA raises money is by charging for ads on the group’s popular web site, organicconsumers.org.

Two companies had purchased logo space on the OCA web site – Organic Valley and Nature’s Path. Until last year. That’s when the groups dropped their sponsorship. Under pressure from Whole Foods Market and United Natural Foods – the two companies that dominate the organics market in the United States…

Ronnie Cummins on Planet Erstwild Radio

Ronnie Cummins talks with Host James Moore about the climate catastrophe and how organic agriculture and green technology can help us survive the 21st century.

San Francisco Officials Sink Deeper in Sewage Sludge Controversy

In January, SF Mayor Gavin Newsom hired Tony Winnicker away from his post as the Communications Director for the SF Public Utilities Commission where he served from 2004-2010, creating PR for city programs including their now infamous toxic sludge giveaway program to unsuspecting backyard gardeners and schools. But as the San Francisco Bay Guardian reports this week, Mayor Newsom’s press secretary still doesn’t know anything about sludge.

&quot Winnicker said he was not aware that San Francisco’s well-tested biosolids were being mixed with those of other areas, and that Newsom would defer to SFPUC experts on how to handle the situation.&quot

If the SPFUC’s own people don’t know about the hundreds of toxic chemicals and pathogens in the sludge they’re spreading all over the Bay Area, how can Mayor Newsom tell the public that it’s safe?

  • Carbon Monoxide Detectors – Amanda’s Law

Carbon Monoxide Detectors – Amanda’s Law

Today, Amanda’s Law, which mandates the installation of carbon monoxide
(CO) detectors in every home in New York went into effect. The law is
named for 16-year-old Amanda Hansen of West Seneca, New York, who died
January 17, 2009 due to a carbon monoxide leak from a defective boiler
while sleeping at a friend’s house.

According to the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control
(OFPC), fire departments in New York responded to more than 42,000 calls
involving carbon monoxide in 2007, the most recent year with complete
data. A majority of these calls came in at night time hours and during
    the winter months.

In addition to installing carbon monoxide alarms, Governor Paterson and
the OFPC remind homeowners to take the following actions to help reduce
    their risk and stay safe:

    ● Test and/or replace alarms according to the manufacturer’s
    instructions

    ● Have heating systems, vents, chimneys and flues tested, inspected
and cleaned by a qualified technician each year

    ● Never leave a car running in an attached garage

    ● Regularly examine vents and chimneys for improper connections,
    rust, soot or other debris

    ● Never run a vehicle, generator or other fuel powered motor indoors,
even if garage doors are open to the outdoors

    ● Never use a gas oven to heat a home, and only use barbecue grills
outdoors – never in a house or garage and

    ● Remember that carbon monoxide alarms are not substitutes for smoke
alarms. Smoke alarms should also be installed on every level of a home
as well as in or outside all sleeping areas.

  • A Neuropathy Success – I No Longer Need Drugs for My Neuropathy

A Neuropathy Success – I No Longer Need Drugs for My Neuropathy

    Friday, March 19, 2010
    Hello Viewers,

More and more people are finding themselves and their loved ones having to &quot cope&quot with neuropathy (nerve pain or numbness or tingling) as a way of life. It doesn’t have to be that way and you don’t have to take harmful medications to to try and reduce the symptoms.

Fortunately, there is a solution which helps you address the real cause of the problem.

Here is what some of our customers have to say about using the WSN Nerve Support Formula:

    *******************************

&quot I did a search online for reversing diabetic neuropathy. I was suffering from numbness and pain in my feet that was steadily increasing. I had been given Gabapentin by my doctor and each month she gave me a larger dosage due to the worsening in my pain.

&quot I was taking 800-1000 mg each day and was still hurting. I found Wellness Support Network online, and to say the least, was very skeptical. I was taking medication that was actually contributing to the problem. I was convinced the Nerve Support was worth a try.

&quot I received my product and began taking it on a Saturday as directed 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening. I went about my day after the first dose and then when I went to take my evening dose I realized I had taken no Gabapentin all day. And I didn’t need any! I was without pain. I absolutely could not believe it.

&quot Sunday came and that night I did experience some pain but nothing to the extent of what I had experienced. In those two days, I took only 200 mg of the medicine. I no longer need the drug for my neuropathy. I still have quite a bit of numbness in my feet but the pain is virtually gone.

&quot I have NEVER had such a profound experience with any product like I have with this Nerve Formula. To me, it feels like a miracle. I was so worried about it getting worse, which it was, because I had seen two family members lose limbs to this disease. I have hope now that even the numbness will subside and will continue taking this product until it does.

&quot I want to thank your staff for taking the time to educate me about what was really going on with my body. I learned more about diabetes and neuropathy in our phone conversation than I have ever learned from the medical professionals I have seen since my diagnosis of diabetes. To learn that what I was prescribed was actually contributing to a downward spiral in my condition was horrifying. What an education you gave me.

&quot From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!&quot

    From Debbie Hubenak in Texas

    *******************************

&quot March of last year I started to have this tingling and burning sensation in my legs. It was tolerable at the time. It got progressively worse. Then my arms started with the burning and tingling. As the weather warmed up it got worse. Some days it was unbearable.

&quot I went online and looked up the symptoms and came up with Neuropathy. I do not have diabetes. I went to the doctor and he said it was my Fibromyalgia acting up.

&quot So I did some more research on Neuropathy and found your web site and I figured what the heck, I had to try and do something, other than the Lyrica that I was taking. By this time my face was tingling and I couldn’t take it in the face, it about drove me over the edge.

&quot So I ordered the Nerve Support Formula. I started taking 9 a day. Within a few days what a relief, I couldn’t believe the difference. I am finally down to just 2 a day just for maintenance and I don’t want that tingling and burning sensation back again. I cannot stress enough how much these capsules helped.&quot

    From Sue Ballachino in Ohio

    *******************************

&quot I have only been taking Nerve Support for 3 weeks. I take six capsules a day and it is working great. Before I took this my whole body was very jumpy. All day long. Sometimes it was hard to sleep. I do believe that in my case it is a hereditary thing. My brother has it, and I really think my mother had it and didn’t know it.

&quot I was getting really bad cramps in my arms and legs and that is much better. I will continue to use the Nerve Support Formula. No side effects was really important. Thank you.&quot

From Sandy L. West in Michigan

  • A Diabetic Success – My Blood Sugar Is Staying Down

A Diabetic Success – My Blood Sugar Is Staying Down

    Dear Viewers,

In the United States, over 3,500 people are newly diagnosed as diabetic every day. The medical drugs prescribed for this condition all have side effects and don’t address the actual cause of the problem.

The WSN Diabetic Pack addresses the causes of the diabetic condition by providing your cells with the nutritional support they need to repair themselves.

Here is what some of our customers have to say about using it:

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

&quot My blood sugar numbers are pretty consistently in the mid-100’s. Six months ago they were consistently in the mid-200’s. I think the Diabetic Pack is a large part of the reason. I am also more aware of my carbs, eating fewer of them is also helping. Thanks for your excellent product.&quot

    From Cecelia Ropp in Georgia

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

&quot I’ve been on your Diabetic Pack for about three months and my sugar was running 150-175. Now it is staying between 99-117 and I have more pep as well.

&quot I was taking 25 units of insulin but now I have dropped it to 5 units along with taking Metformin, but my sugar is staying down with far less insulin.

&quot Thanks so much for helping me.&quot

    From Carol Bailey in Pennsylvania

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

&quot I have stayed on a low carb diet. I continue to take the Diabetic Pack and with good success. My 14 day average blood sugar is 112 and my 30 day average is 120.

&quot The key ingredient for me is lots of exercise. The more yard work or gym work I do, the more I eat, and the lower my number, low carbs of course.

&quot Yesterday I worked in the yard for a few hours and my number this morning was 104. I feel like I am doing really well. I am really glad to have found the Diabetic Pack as diet and exercise alone did not show the results.&quot

    Quote of the Week

&quot Those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested largely by men we have never heard of. In almost every act of our lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind.&quot

Take Action: Rally for Organic Integrity at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA

March 12, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center at 10 a.m.

Are you concerned about the rampant misbranding of so-called &quot organic&quot personal care and cosmetics products?

Join the Organic Consumers Association at the Anaheim, California Convention Center for a rally and press conference March 12 at Expo West, the largest annual gathering of the natural and organic products industry. Join us as we demand that all fraudulent &quot organic&quot brands clean up their act or leave the organic personal care aisle altogether!

The Organic Consumers Association’s &quot Coming Clean&quot Campaign has been working to clean up the natural and organic personal care industry for the past six years. We believe that organic bodycare standards should mirror organic food standards. The word &quot organic&quot is not properly regulated on personal care products (examples: soap and bodywash, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, etc.) as it is on food products, unless the product is certified by the USDA National Organic Program. Due to this lax regulation, many personal care products have the word &quot organic&quot in their brand name or otherwise on their product label, but unless they are USDA certified, the main cleansing ingredients and preservatives are usually made with synthetic and petrochemical compounds. In November of 2009, OCA launched a consumer boycott of all offending brands, and in January 2010 OCA filed a complaint with the National Organic Program requesting an investigation into this issue.

Giant 5 ft. tall shampoo bottles mocking fraudulent &quot organic&quot brands will greet attendees at the trade show while OCA activists distribute Consumer Warning leaflets. Speakers from genuinely certified organic companies and OCA staff will give updates on the fight to clean up rampant labeling fraud in the body care and cosmetics sector. Join us as we expose the organic imposters and recognize the ethical companies that are upholding organic integrity.

Activists Protest at Whole Foods Market Shareholder Meeting in Vancouver

Sustainable Supply Chain Coalition Delivers a Clear Message: Whole Foods’ &quot Business as Usual&quot is Bad for People and Bad for the Planet

The international Sustainable Supply Chain Coalition, comprised of environmental groups, food activist organizations and labor unions, including the OCA, Sierra Club of Canada, and the Teamsters Union, protested inside and outside the Whole Foods Market shareholder meeting in Vancouver, BC on Monday March 8, 2010 to support four shareholder resolutions and call for a change in Whole Foods Market’s unsustainable practices.

The international coalition is calling on Whole Foods Market and its major supplier United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) to sign the Sustainable Food Pledge and stop marketing conventional chemical, GMO, and energy-intensive foods and products as &quot natural&quot or &quot almost organic &quot increase sales of certified organic products from 1/3 of current sales to 2/3 of sales within three years and to pressure all of their so-called &quot natural&quot suppliers to sign a contract with an accredited organic certifier to begin to make the transition to organic.

The pledge also calls on WFM and UNFI to practice what they preach in terms of domestic Fair Trade, to recognize the rights of workers – from farm workers in the fields, to food processing workers, truck drivers, warehouse workers, and retail clerks – to organize themselves into unions if they so choose. The Pledge also calls on WFM and UNFI to recognize the rights of all citizens to universal health care and to acknowledge the fact that only a massive transition to organic food and farming can sequester sufficient greenhouse gases to prevent climate catastrophe.

Action Update: More Than 200,000 Consumers, Farmers and Organic Businesses Call for USDA to Ban Monsanto’s Genetically Engineered Alfalfa

The contamination of non-GE and organic alfalfa hay and seed With Monsanto’s Roundup Ready Alfalfa would likely devastate the organic dairy and beef industry.

More than 200,000 people submitted comments to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) critiquing the substance and conclusions of its Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on Genetically Engineered (GE) Alfalfa. Groups including the Organic Consumers Association, the National Organic Coalition, Center for Food Safety (CFS), Food and Water Watch, CREDO Action, and Food Democracy Now, mobilized our communities to help generate the unprecedented number of comments.

Action Update: World’s Greenest Mayor: &quot Let Them Eat Toxic Sludge!&quot

A &quot sludge dump&quot organized by San Francisco garden activists and the Organic Consumers Association made national news last week. TV cameras from all the major networks filmed us as we took sewage sludge that the city had told gardeners was &quot organic compost&quot and dumped it on the steps of City Hall.

Sadly, Gavin Newsom, the man Organic Style Magazine called the World’s Greenest Mayor, doesn’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with using sewage sludge on food crops.

Action Update: Procter and Gamble Agrees to Reformulate Body Care Products Due to Toxic Contaminant

On Friday March 12, 2009, the Organic Consumers Association, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, and the Green Patriot Working Group will announce the details of an agreement from Procter and Gamble to reformulate 18 products from its top-selling Herbal Essences brand to reduce levels of the carcinogenic petrochemical 1,4-Dioxane.

In addition, OCA and allies will announce new results from a continuing study that has tested over 150 consumer products for the toxic chemical. This year, 20 laundry detergents were tested, including major &quot natural&quot and conventional brands. Ironically, the seven laundry detergent brands from PandG had by far the highest levels of 1,4-dioxane overall. The independent third-party laboratory, Exova, known for rigorous testing and chain-of-custody protocols, performed all testing. Over the past two years, OCA research, litigation, and marketplace pressure have forced dozens of so-called organic and natural brands to reformulate their health and beauty products.
