Hey Law & Order Fans, we’re getting our first look at tabloid darling Mischa Barton in her buzzed-about guest appearance on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The 23-year-old former O.C. actress was cast in the role of troubled hooker “Gladys” after catching the attention of SVU’s executive producer Neal Baer last fall.
Of course, there were rumors of strife — ie: Mischa forgetting her lines — during shooting, but it appears the star got it together in the end. Barton helps Benson and Stabler track down a serial killer in SVU’s “Savior” episode, airing March 3. Here’s a clip:
One cad defends another: “I think it’s cool. I think people always deserve a second chance. I know my fans gave me a second chance. Whatever his personal life is, and this goes for me and him, his personal life is his personal life. Nobody has the right to place judgment or make any judgment on anybody else’s personal life when they’re not directly involved with them. He plays golf, that’s his sport, that’s his love that’s what people love him for. They don’t love him for the other stuff they’re talkin’ about. So my hat is off to him –I support him. I hope he gets back on the field and does his thing, cause he is the best at it…..” Chris Brown Talks Tiger Woods on Mojo In The Morning, Wed., Feb. 24
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals plans to perch a controversial new billboard starring scandal-scarred sex machine Tiger Woods near the shamed golfer’s estate in suburban Orlando.
On Wednesday, the animal rights group unveiled plans to use Tiger’s likeness on a billboard that reads: “Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing … For Little Tigers Too. Help Keep Your Cats (and Dogs) Out of Trouble: Always Spay or Neuter! PETA.” The ad — which is a part of PETA’s campaign to encourage pet owners to spay and neuter their animals — could go up near Woods’ Isleworth home in Windermere.
More than a dozen women have come forward, claiming they had affairs with Woods, including a porn star who said she was twice impregnated by the golfing great. Despite being chided by The White House after using First Lady Michelle Obama’s likeness without permission in a 2009 advertisement, PETA says they didn’t ask for Tiger’s approval on the billboard. PETA bosses say the irony of using Tiger in an animal birth control ad was “too good to pass up.”
“Tiger has no formal affiliation with the organization and has not previewed or endorsed the ad but the image and the idea were too good to pass up when it comes to helping find homes for animals who will otherwise be left out in the cold,” PETA Executive Vice President Daphna Nachminovitch in a statement. “People can hit a hole-in-one for their animals by having them spayed and neutered. The millions of cats and dogs born each year in this country without good homes to go to don’t make tabloid headlines, but their suffering is 100 percent real.”
The Live with Regis & Kelly hostess showed off a new tat on this morning’s show. Kelly, 39, unveiled a tattoo of her husband Mark’s last name — “Consuelos” — on her left wrist on Wednesday’s Live.
“I got a new tattoo. It’s a little inky, but it will heal beautifully,” Kelly said, who had the ink plastered on at Saved Tattoo in Brooklyn.
Kelly told Regis she had been scheduled to have the work done 10 months ago, but her tattoo artist had to call out after his wife went into labor.. His next available appointment was last night
The “Consuelos” tag is the second tattoo for the former All My Children star, who had a rose and heart tattooed on her left ankle when she was 19.
A trainer was killed in front of a crowd of visitors at SeaWorld on Wednesday afternoon when a killer whale grabbed her from behind and drug her into the pool.
The woman, 40, was in the whale holding area about 2 PM when “she apparently slipped or fell into the tank and was fatally injured by one of the whales,” said Jim Solomons, a public information officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber and Caribbean Queen Rihanna are scheduled to perform at the 2010 Kids Choice Awards next month, Nickelodeon announced on Wednesday.

Miss Patti is “too through” with this Idol thing….Singing legend Patti LaBelle has some sharp words for some folks affiliated with American Idol — and she’s not talking about the contestants. LaBelle slammed the nation’s most watched TV talent show in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, confessing that she believes “some of the judges” lack the qualifications to judge a singing competition on national television.
Shots fired! (Grabs popcorns and waits for drama to unfold…..)
“Some of the judges, I don’t think they’re qualified to even judge,” Labelle — who has been singing for nearly half a century — snipped. The veteran R&B diva wouldn’t say which judge she thought was lacking on the hit show, which has launched the careers of several of America’s top singers.
When asked if she thinks some of Idol’s critiques are a bit too harsh on contestants, the “If You Asked Me To” powerhouse replied: “The comments that were made, they could make you like wanna kill yourself….”
Patti also revealed that she was asked to be a judge on the show before ex-panelist Paula Abdul got the gig in 2002.
Despite her take on the perils of Idol, the 65-year-old has some useful advice for aspiring singing stars: “If you believe in yourself, just go for it. What do you have to lose? And when people tell you ‘You can’t,’ you have to say, ‘I can.’”
What do you think of Patti’s Idol Slam? Agree or Disagree?
When Jay Leno resumes his post as host of The Tonight Show next week, he’ll have some stiff competition from longtime late-night foe David Letterman. Letterman has been tops in the ratings ever since The Peacock unceremoniously ditched Leno in favor of the now unemployed Conan O’Brien last May. It is an honor the bespectacled staff shagger won’t be giving up without a fight.
Leno will return to Tonight on March 1st with a star-studded lineup of guests, including singer/actor Jamie Foxx, Olympian Lindsey Vonn, politician Sarah Palin, and
A recording of the moment paramedics first announced Michael Jackson’s dead has surfaced online.
“Patient is Michael Jackson, the pop star singer. No pulse, no breathing. Unresponsive. Tried to resuscitate him. Unsuccessful. We’ve done everything we can. We should be there in five minutes. It doesn’t look good. It doesn’t look good,” a voice can be heard saying.
The voice on the tape – which is believed to be a Los Angeles Fire Department EMT calling ahead to the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica – could even be used as new evidence in the upcoming criminal trial of MJ’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the King of Pop’s death last month.
With his new Calvin Klein ad campaign popping up on billboards all over America, Kellan Lutz might just have one of the most famous crotches on the Planet — and the screen stud is teaming up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to put that new found celebrity to good use.
Lutz, who plays vampire Emmett Cullen in the popular Twilight film franchise, takes a bite out of pet homelessness in an ad released by the animal rights organization on Wednesday.
It’s all a part of PETA’s “Adopt, Don’t Buy” campaign, which encourages animal lovers to look for the next furry addition to the family at the local animal rescue rather than purchasing from a breeder. The ad — shot by celebrity photog Collin Spark — shows Lutz hugging his rescued mixed-breed dog Kola and reads, “Buying Animals Is Killing Animals. Save a Homeless Dog or Cat—Always Adopt and Never Buy.”
According to PETA, almost 8 million unwanted dogs and cats enter animal shelters every year in the U.S., and half of them ended up being euthanized.
“I love mutts!” Lutz says enthusiastically in an interview with the group. “If anything, I think mutts stay the healthiest. There are surprisingly so many animals, so many animals in these animal shelters. It’s sad, and knowing that they get euthanized … and there’s a lot you can do … spay or neuter your pets so that doesn’t happen.”

Pop star Jennifer Lopez has issued a statement reassuring fans that her seventh album, Love?, is still set for release, despite news that the “Louboutins” singer parted ways with her longtime label home earlier this week.
There’s still no word why the Artist Formerly Known As JLo has left Sony’s Epic label, but DeadlineHollywood.com is floating the rumor that Sony may have dropped the star after her lead singles “Louboutins” and “Fresh Out The Oven” failed to generate any buzz for the album.
“I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love,” she said. “I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label,” the statement continued.
“I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album Love and that it is slated for release in the Summer of 2010.”
Jennifer is reportedly in talks for a deal with Island label Def Jam.

Shock jock Howard Stern is on a hunt to name Tiger Woods’ “Hottest Mistress.” The longtime radio host — known for his side-splitting pranks — is organizing the first official Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant.
So far, only four of the sportsman’s former mistresses – out of the 13 identified in the press – have agreed to take part in the contest — which will see “ladies” duking it out categories such as Swimsuit, Personality, and Talent for a three person judging panel . Howard offered a judging spot to Elin Nordegren, the golfer’s estranged wife and the mother of his two young children. She has not responded to the invitation.
Grand prize is $100,000 supplied by cheaters dating service AshleyMadison.com. The site, which boasts 4.5 million users, advertises itself with the slogan “Life is Short, Have an Affair.”
The Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant will be held on March 10,
CBS is temporarily halting production of television’s top-rated comedy Two and a Half Men, following news that show’s star is in rehab. Actor Charlie Sheen, who is facing criminal charges in Colorado, checked himself into a rehabilitation facility “as a preventative measure,” his spokesman said on Tuesday.
His admission has halted filming on the series, but Sheen has been given the full backing of executives from CBS and Warner Bros, which produces Two and a Half Men. A joint statement released by the network and studio yesterday reads: “CBS, Warner Bros. Television and (show creator) Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment center.”
Sheen was charged earlier this month with felony menacing and two other counts stemming from an alleged Christmas Day attack on his wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen. He is free on bail and is expected back in court in Colorado March 15. Mueller is also in a rehabilitation facility, where she is being treated for an alleged crack addiction.

“The Devil In Prada” is headed for the Magazine Editors’ Hall of Fame.
On Monday, the American Society of Magazine Editors announced that notoriously divalicious Anna Wintour will be inducted into the Editors Hall of Fame during gala in New York City this April. The acid-tongued Wintour took over as editor of Vogue in 1988, leaving a trail of tears and shakes of terror in her wake.
“Throughout her career, Anna Wintour has exemplified the highest standards of taste, in both journalism and fashion,” said Sid Holt, ASME’s chief executive, in a statement. “She has defined style for a generation of magazine readers and come to epitomize the essential qualities of editorial leadership.”
Previous ASME honorees include Martha Stewart and Hugh Hefner.
