Former Growing Pains star Andrew Koenig has died, sources close the the actor’s family told CNN this evening.

The body of the missing former child star was found in Vancouver’s Stanley Park on Thursday, local police say.
A news conference is scheduled for tonight at 8 PM Eastern, and Koenig’s parents — Star Trek star Walter Koenig and his wife Judy — will be present.
Koenig is best remembered for playing Mike Seaver’s (Kirk Cameron) best friend “Boner” on the hit sitcom Growing Pains between 1985-1989. He also appeared in bit roles on 21 Jump Street, My Two Dads, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Andrew had been working as an editor, writer, and director at the time of his death. While a cause of death has not been released, Koenig had long lived with depression, and sent his parents a disturbing letter before disappearing in the Olympic city on Feb. 14.
The Koenigs say their son loved the British Columbia city, which he first visited when he visited to a film an episode of 21 Jump Street in 1988. He had stopped taking medication for depression about a year ago, he dad said this week. Koenig also sold or gave away many of his possessions and moved out of his apartment in Venice, California, before traveling to Canada.
