    • Responsible for coordination of European/German resources for installation and maintenance projects which includes organisation of staff, subcontractors, technicians, QA personnel, administrative staff, tools and equipment specific to turbine installation.
    • Manage and coordinate training of operation and installation personnel and ensure training certifications are current.
    • Proactively identify and assess the need for additional education and training needs of personnel in order to increase employee value and overall performance.

    Based in Orleans, there is an immediate requirement reporting to the Head of Development – Northern Region for an experienced Project Developer with experince of finding new locations, environmental studies through to optaining building permits.  You will manage the consultation with stakeholders including local government, state departments, local residents and landowners and elected associations.  You will monitor all administrative and regulatory applications for buiding permits.

    You will have a degree in Engineering or an equivalent subject (training in renewable energy would be advantageous).

    Ideally you will have 2-4 years experience in the wind energy sector, managing similar projects.  You will have knowledge and have used relevant software including WindPro or WAsP.

This position reports to the regional development leader. This senior project management position is responsible for all aspects of delivery for multiple projects ensuring that these projects are successfully completed on time and on budget. The Development Director will focus on managing existing projects and on identifying and securing new development sites, identifying and evaluating project acquisition and investment opportunities and mentoring junior staff members.

    Responsibilities:
    Manage process to move projects from green field development to commercial, preconstruction stage
    Ensure that timelines and budgets for Company’s existing projects are effectively managed
    Coordinate feasibility studies and project development activities with cross functional resources, peers, and outside consultants to ensure project is progressing in accordance with schedule and all requirements are met
    Negotiate land rights acquisition with landowners and address land use issues

    Requirements:

    Minimum 5-7 years in a relevant project management position with proven track record of building, leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, preferably in the renewable energy or power generation industry
    Excellent written and oral communications skills; the ability to develop clear and concise development plans and presentations regarding project status, timeline, risk assessment, and budget needs and performance
    Ability to operate at a detailed level, to organize and multi-task, with a dedication to seeing projects through to completion
    Ability to read and interpret topographic and other land use maps, preferably with some experience with Graphic Information Systems

  • Contact Metallization Process Engineer

    Massachusetts, GMZ Energy, Inc

    An expert in metallization development and techniques using vacuum deposition and/or electro-deposition is needed to play a core role in the advancement of thermoelectric device production. The key function of this position is to lead the production-level advancement of the contact metallization and device assembly. This position requires significant hands-on experience in metallization in addition to conducting tests on contact resistance, stress tests, thermal cycling and reliability/durability testing of contact layers. Prior experience with soldering to thermoelectric materials up to 700C is desirable.

    Keywords: thermoelectric devices, contact metallization, joining/soldering, vacuum deposition, electroplating

    Requirements: a MS or Ph.D. in Material Science or Chemistry with at least five years of direct experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with significant contact metallization and joining experience in a production environment.

    The key functions of this position include heat transfer modeling and design, particularly involving heat conduction and thermal radiation in electro-mechanical systems. Experience in the fabrication and characterization of heat transfer devices and systems is required.
